Kabali is releasing this weekend and the craze is something I have never witnessed before..
I am in Chennai currently and the kind of craze I am witnessing is many folds beyond what I have seen for SRK/Sallu movies in Delhi/Mumbai and for big hollywood movies in US. To name a few

1. There are t-shirts sold with dialogues from trailer and I see lot of people wearing it
2. Bulk/corporate bookings (this happens for other movies but what I am seeing is beyond regular corporate booking). Advance booking is opening with Housefull board coz all tickets are sold to corporates already
3. There is something called as pre-book in spi cinemas (most premium multiplex with 6 or 7 chains in Tamil Nadu with 40 screens in total). They stopped taking any more pre-book and pre-book is completely sold out . Today morning they have opened their current booking with all shows opening in red (100 shows exactly). The number of shows will go up to 150 or more in next few days when they add special morning shows and late night shows
4. Biggest of all, few of the corporates have notified their employees already that no unplanned leaves will be entertained on 22nd of July and few of the corporates (who can afford leaves) have declared off on Friday 😲.

I can go on listing. I don't think any star command this level fan of following or craze for his movies. And, yes he is 65 years old 😃

My entire family is fond of him and his films. I havent come across a single person in life who dislikes him. Even a kamal fan adores him. Actually there is alot of respect for him and kamal because of their legendary status. Im actually glad he signed this film. He always sign big directors film and this move has helped to establish a talented director like Ranjith further. Ranjith's earlier films are class of their own and I believe Kabali will cement his status further.
