Perhaps bcoz of a clumsy second half. There were just too many plot holes especially the wedding sequence. Superstar isn't able to proof his innocence even when there is CCTV footage of the imposter😕. How easily fan gets into the house and escapes. Basically there was no connect with the character which is a big drawback especially in these type of films.

Coz in the 2nd half they made the Star the hero and The Fan the loser. I loved Guarav not stupid star. Bt I am not really his fan bt gave my 2 cents

According to some Srk's fan the movie was for specific class people, maybe majority of the fans didn't belong to that class, hence this result. Just a genuine thought...
