Shravan was very much hurt from the way Sumo had answered his call. Deep down, he felt a voice so unfamiliar having talked to him so harshly. He felt his cheeks flush. He promptly left the coffee shop and drove back home. He was not ready to face anyone, especially his papa who meant the world to him.

This scene kept repeating itself in his head all the time. He took occasional glances at Sumo who was busy checking her mobile and ignoring him. A lot of questions stirred his mind with restlessness. However, his head empowered him, resisting him from confronting her with her current attitude towards him.

Both of them checked out Regal Palace for the sangeet ceremony of Pushkar and Preeti. While Sumo was excited to meet the manager, Shravan wasn't too keen. He was certain that Kamini might face humiliating remarks from her elite circle of friends. He watched Sumo asking lots of questions about the venue. The manager noticed Shravan's gesture and informed Sumo that the venue had been fully booked for the next three months. Sumo was quite pissed off as the manager went off without giving any notice in advance or any opportunity for her urgency to be heard.

Shravan recalled his conversation with Pushkar just now, after leaving from Sumo's place. He had asked her to wait while refreshing himself. He had a quick chat with Pushkar, who was surprised that both of them were not fighting yet but in vain. Shravan made a call to the manager of Regal Palace to inform the bad news to Sumo when both of them will come by. Pushkar was miffed by his attitude but Shravan revealed Sumo's recent attitude towards him. Sumo had been so irresponsible and immature as far as the arrangements were concerned and more than anything, he was really irked by her nature of arguing with him for no reason and not being open to other possibilities when working with him. He called his friend who had a great hall for the sangeet ceremony and managed to get a great discount. He asked Pushkar to relax and talk to Preeti.

Shravan now headed to drop off Sumo. He knew that Sumo was oblivious to the whole plan but he knew this was the only way to save Sumo and her family from further humiliation. Shravan called Sumo who had forgotten her clutch. He secretly kept a card in her clutch and gave it to her before he drove off.

Preeti was discussing about certain dance styles for her sangeet that her cousins are going to perform. Sumo was clueless about how she ought to tell Preeti about no feasible venue for their budget. She took her clutch to get her mobile. Just then, a card dropped put of it and she wondered if she should call. Preeti took the card from her and asked her when she changed the venue for the sangeet. Sumo told her she has yet to give it a try. Preeti told her that this hotel will be apt for the sangeet, as she showed the photographs of the hall. Sumo called up and checked out the promotional offer available at the moment. She was totally surprised that it was within her family budget. She repetitively asked if they will back out but Sumo was reassured.

She didn't know if it was a miracle but things are going on unexpectedly well for her family and now Kamini chachi will have no complaints. Shravan got the instant update from his friend and smiled widely for finally, she accepted his help.

Pushkar finally saw a big smile after so many days and was curious. Shravan told him everything like a young kid who had found his lost toy. Pushkar asked if Sumo suspected anything. Shravan made him promise not to tell anyone about it but Pushkar agreed on one condition; to find out why Sumo is ignoring him and not accepting any of his help. Pushkar told him he knew Sumo very well. Sumo would never ignore her family or friends, especially her best friend, Shravan. After all, it made no sense so why should Shravan give up on his friendship with Sumo? Perhaps there could be a personal circumstances but Shravan refused to agree for Sumo could easily talk to him about anything. Pushkar made him promise to settle everything before his marriage. Shravan reluctantly agreed.

Meanwhile, Vandy and Kamini got their popular choreographer to drop by their place to meet Shravan who was confused. He obviously had no idea why the former wanted to meet him. Vandy announced that Shravan will dance during the sangeet ceremony, thanks to Kamini's indirect gestures. He was shocked and tried to oppose as much as possible but his little brother had to come just then and asked further details from his mumma. Pushkar finally suggested why not dance with Sumo from Preeti's side as well. Shravan glared at him, giving him the stare but he whispered,

Pushkar:'Meri shaadi, aapka vaada aur aapka raaz. Kya karne ka iraada hai??'

Shravan:Chote!! (closed his eyes in frustration)

Pushkar:Toh baat pakki!!You're dancing with Sumo!!(cheekily winked at Shravan who had to head to Preeti's home to introduce the choreographer to Sumo)

Preeti met Shravan and asked him to sit while she called out Sumo. Sumo met the male choreographer and suggested the dance for the sangeet. Preeti was excited to see her sister's reaction. Pushkar did tell her how he managed to coax Shravan but now she wanted to see what was going on in her sister's mind. Sumo stood up and clearly denied of knowing any dancing and she doesn't want to embarrass her sister on her sangeet. However, Preeti excused herself and Sumo and asked the reason. She started seeing that something else was going on. Preeti told her that there will be no one who's as close to her as her Sumo di and she will be really disappointed if she didn't perform for her sangeet. Preeti finally asked if she had any problems dancing with Shravan. Shravan and Sumo looked at each other, both forlorn and lost in each other's disturbed eyes. Sumo doesn't know what to say. All these time, she is trying her optimum to ignore and go further away from Shravan but circumstances are only forcing her to go closer towards him. It was her only dearest sister's sangeet. How could she not perform?? Sumo finally agreed and Preeti hugged Sumo tightly and at the same time, she noticed Shravan smiling unknowingly. She wondered if Pushkar was still telling the truth. Is Shravan in love with her Sumo di??? She has to get to the bottom of it, she finally made a vow to herself to make sure she involved Pushkar in it too.

Preeti asked for the list of songs that she had asked from Sumo. However, Sumo looked at her blankly. Mamiji brought some coffee for Shravan and Ranveer, the choreographer. Preeti watched Sumo bring them the drinks. Ranveer accidentally spilt some coffee on Sumo's kurti and apologized. Preeti watched Shravan getting a little irked and instantly brought Sumo di to change her clothes. Shravan asked Ranveer if they could leave but the latter suggested otherwise. He was ready to browse through the songs which Preeti had provided, knowing her sister too well, with some suggestions from Pushkar as well.

Preeti:So Shravan bhaiyya..

Shravan:Itni formal kyun? Just Shravan..

Preeti:Shravan, do you dance?

Shravan:Kyun??Pushkar ne kuch nahin bataaya tha kya?

Preeti:Not really..

Shravan:Not exactly..Thoda bohat manage kar leti hoon...

Preeti:Hmm toh phir aapko Sumo di se bohat seekhna chaahiye..

Shravan saw Sumo having come. They went through a list of songs. Sumo had no idea. Shravan was feeling awkward at the same time. Preeti realised that neither of them are going to make their first move and she'll have to push them. She chose her favourite song in the playlist and asked Sumo to first dance with Ranveer who can teach her the steps and soon Shravan can follow. Shravan agreed.

Ranveer held Sumo's hand and placed it on his shoulder while interlocking her fingers in his other hand. He let her hand free and swirled her around for a few times before letting her come close to him. Shravan was restless, seeing his Sumo dancing with someone else in front of him. Sumo moved away from Ranveer but he held both her hands, bringing her close to him, with his face touching her face gently and she turned, as instructed by him. Within moments, she withdrew herself and he swirled her one last time before he held her in his arms. Shravan cleared his throat and Preeti almost chuckled at his reactions. Sumo stood upright and Ranveer informed them that this is only one song and he would love for both of them to dance on at least two or three songs and Preeti agreed instantly.

Ranveer asked Shravan to begin practising his steps with Sumo. Sumo looked away and back at Shravan who observed her deeply. Just then, Sumo heard thunderstorms and rushed to the terrace to pick some of the clothes. Preeti asked him to go and help Sumo. Shravan felt that this was the perfect time to confront Sumo. Preeti felt so ecstatic to be a cupid and asked for other details from Ranveer.

Sumo felt glad that the steps were alright to do with Ranveer.But Shravan?? How could she even begin to do a dance as such with him and that too for the sangeet ceremony when clearly Ramnath uncle will be there, witnessing everything??She has to come up with a solid excuse somehow. She took the clothes from the clothesline and kept them in the dry laundry basket to fold later. She froze, feeling the presence of Shravan.

Sumo:Tum yahaa?

Shravan:Acha mausam hain..Kyun Sumo? (Sumo turned away) Waise ache naach lete ho.. Anjaan Ranveer ke saath aur woh bhi kaafi romantic tha..Tumhe nahin lagta ki ab humein practise karni chaahiye? Main utna acha dance nahin karta toh waqt toh zaroor loonga..Shall we?

Sumo was getting closer to Shravan. He interlocked his hand in her's and soon set her hand free and swirled her. She didn't stop gazing at him while turning. Just then, a drizzle soon transformed into a downpour, as Shravan brought Sumo close to his face. He separated the locks of her hair that came before her eyes. Sumo quickly moved away but Shravan held her arm firmly.

Shravan:Sumo, itni dooriyaan kyun rakh rahi ho mujhse? Aise dance thodi na hota hai..(pulled her waist towards him) Kya ho gaye hai meri dost Sumo ko jo hamesha chattar pattar karti rehti hai?Aaj kal toh mujhse na koi baat ya aankh mila rahe ho..Aisa kya kar diya maine??

Sumo turned away without answering him but he held both of her hands firmly, letting her back collide with his body. He moved her hair to her back and his face gently touched her's, moving against and caressing the raindrops on her face. Sumo closed her eyes instantly and hugged him, pulling his shirt. But just then, she opened her eyes and withdrew herself and turned away. She couldn't believe what she had just done, gasping in shock. She turned to look at him, with her mouth covered and before Shravan could ask her anything, Sumo left from there in tears.

Shravan was getting drenched in the rains. He was totally taken aback. What had just happened to his Sumo? She wasn't even responding to any of his calls, messages or even looking at him in the last few days. She treated him like dirt, as though he was a big hindrance in her life. He thought he was just dancing with her for the sake of Preeti and Pushkar's sangeet. Now, he doesn't know if Sumo will ever agree to continue to dance with him or attend the sangeet. Did he make her feel awkward? But what happened to Sumo all of a sudden??

Shravan ran his fingers deep through his hair and wished he had controlled himself, his emotions, his restlessness. Just then, Mamaji had come up and saw Shravan all drenched and brought him downstairs to wipe his hair dry. Shravan asked for Sumo. Preeti told him that she went to the washroom and it has been quite some time and she'll check but Shravan understood it all. He let her be and went back home.

Preeti knocked on the bathroom door but only heard the sound of water gushing. Sumo wasn't responding to her, hence the latter left her dinner in her room and left to call Pushkar.

Shravan was about to lock his room but Pushkar pushed the door and barged inside. Shravan closed the door and wondered what was going on with him.

Shravan:Kya hua chote?Any probs?

Pushkar:Yeh toh mujhe aapse poochna chaahiye..What happened there??

Shravan pondered over Sumo's behaviour when he tried to dance with her. Before she had left from the terrace, he was very sure that he noticed her eyes welled up with tears. Preeti's words rang in his ears. He was sure that he had definitely made her feel super awkward but he couldn't comprehend why this became so complicated. Pushkar snapped at him.

Pushkar:Oh hello, kahaa pe khoye ho??Bhaiyya,you seem really out of place..Kya hua tha wahaa pe?

Shravan:Kuch bhi toh nahin.. (felt Pushkar laying eyes on him and not moving an inch; he looked and raised his eyebrow and Pushkar imitated him which further annoyed him)What?

Pushkar:Why are you even lying to me bhaiyya??The sangeet venue issue has been resolved na..Now what's wrong between you two?

Shravan:(stood up out of frustration)Chote, what's there to hide from you? Ever since your love story has been revealed and now accepted by both families, Sumo had become so different. So weird. So rude and arrogant. That's not my friend, Sumo. I don't understand how the Sumo who used to irritate me with her banter now isn't even looking into my eyes to talk at all. She is plainly ignoring me as though I've wronged her. Do you even know she isn't picking any of my calls or replying to my messages??

Pushkar:Hmm that's odd. But you've got a point really wrong here. She's not your friend. I've been telling her and now you. She's more than a friend to you. She's your love, bhaiyya. I mean, you guys can't live without each other yaar. Did you know how desperate she was when she got to know that you were coming to India after 10 years??She's crazy..

Shravan:Now you're crazy...I shouldn't even have waited for her at the coffee shop to confess...

Pushkar:You what?(Shravan his lip)

Shravan:Nothing... (tried to think of something else)

Pushkar:Bhaiyya...You were gonna propose?Sachhi??

Shravan:Shut up!!She didn't come, alright and she doesn't even care..She didn't even ask why I had waited for her for 5 hours at the coffee shop..

Pushkar:Maybe she's busy...She might have a lot of things to settle..

Shravan:That is not even the point,Chote. She has no respect or value for the time I had given her. At least a Sorry or maybe just show concern. But no. She's seriously enjoying playing the ignoring-Shravan game with me. God knows for what reason.

Pushkar:Bhaiyya,relax. If she's ignoring you, there will definitely be a reason. Try to think about it but meanwhile do you want me to talk to her?

Shravan:No...No way,Pushkar!!If she thinks I'm such a big hindrance for her, then fine. If she doesn't care about my friendship, I don't need her either. I.. (inhaled deep before saying)I don't need her at all!!!(paused for a while) But you don't worry. All your wedding preps will sail smooth.Ok? (smiled and went to sleep while Pushkar went to his room)

Preeti watched her sister towel dry her hair and smiled at her. She asked Sumo to sit and fed her the soup she had prepared. Sumo stopped her but Preeti shook her head and Sumo let her.

Sumo:Kya baat hai?Pushkar ka phone nahin aaya hai kya?

Preeti:Woh toh ho gayi hain..Par yeh toh sirf meri khushi ke liye... (her eyes welled up)

Sumo:Pagal ladki..Kya hua??Tumhaari ankhen nami kyun hai?

Preeti:Main aspko bohat zyaada miss karungi di...Aap mujhe milne aaoge na??Ya phir Shravan ke waje se aap nahin aaoge?

Sumo:Tum kaisi baat...

Preeti:Aap dono toh bohat ajeeb behave kar rahe the...Mera matlab hai ke aap dono ek doosre ke orr tak nahin dekh rahe ho..jaise koi jagda hua ho...

Sumo: Preeti, tum meri priority ho..Aur mujhe wahaa aane se koi nahin rok sakta,samjhi??Shravan ke saath sab theek hai warna main tayyaariya kaise karti? Haan, thodi bohat behas karte hai par nothing to worry...

Preeti wondered if she should talk to Sumo about Kamini but she kept mum for she needed to discuss with Pushkar about it before confiding in her sister. Both sister's went to sleep. Sumo decided that she had to put aside all awkwardness and prepare her heart like a rock in order for her sister to be truly happy with all the preparations.

~Sangeet~

Everyone especially Kamini and the Malhotras were really impressed with the venue. They kept on praising Sumo and Shravan for their quick arrangements. Hearing this, Pushkar flashed a subtle smile at Shravan who asked him to stop, and to get ready. Both of them headed to the changing room. Kamini was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Suman, for she was going to place her trump card on Ramnath this time round for an ultimate revenge for backstabbing her. This was her day and she made sure she utilised it to the fullest and she brought Vandy to a corner to discuss some details. Lalaji and Varun welcomed the guests who had arrived with delicious sweets and drinks.

The Tiwaris too made it and hugged each other. Suman and Preeti were headed towards the changing room. Shravan adjusted Pushkar's sherwani and complimented him.

Shravan:Chote,Preeti toh behosh hi ho jaayegi...Looking ek dum smashing..

Pushkar:Bhaiyya,not fair.

Shravan:Kya?

Pushkar:Ladkiyan aaj aapko hamesha ke tarha thaadne waale hai...Today is my day na??You look way more handsome...

Shravan:Luck by chance,Chote par you know something? Mujhe aaj sirf tumhe khush dekhna hai aur kuch nahin...These girls and their shallow compliments mean nothing to me!!Got it?? (Both of them smiled widely and hugged each other)Ab chale??

Just as they opened the door, Pushkar bumped into Preeti while Suman was slowly behind her as she headed to check if the preparations were all perfect.Pushkar can't believe his eyes. He was stunned by her beauty but Shravan tapped on him and cleared his throat.

Shravan:Yeh sab toh aap dono ke beech hota rahega...Chale Pushkar?? (Both of them blushed and Preeti turned back but she didn't see Sumo)

Preeti:Arre yeh Sumo di kahaa reh gayi??Ok, I'll get my touch up done and meet you later...If you do see Sumo di please tell her to--

Sumo: Preeti...Jaldi kar... (paused upon seeing Shravan in his sherwani; Preeti and Pushkar saw their eyes fixated at each other and they respectively brought the other away from each other)

Preeti:Sab theekh, di?(Sumo nodded and helped her with the touch up but Preeti asked her to go and freshen up as Sumo was coming straight from a meeting with an important client)

Preeti was being called by Kamini on her mobile as a lot of guests are asking for her. Preeti asked Sumo to hurry up and left Sumo by herself. Sumo had worn a beautiful pink lehenga which Preeti helped to order from her friend. Just as Sumo was trying to tie her dori, there was a knock. Sumo asked her to come in, thinking that Preeti must have forgotten something. She was so engrossed in trying to get the dori tied and part of her hair had fallen in front,hence she didn't see who it was. Just then, she felt his presence. His uninvited cologne as he touched her bare neck to move her hair forward. She looked up in front of the mirror and saw the guy who dared touch her and made her lips quiver. She struggled but turned back to face him.

Sumo:What are you doing?

Shravan:Just trying to help you..

Sumo: Did I ask you?And what are you even doing here?

Shravan:I left my phone here..

Sumo:I can manage on my own...

Shravan:I can very well see that..Suit yourself!!

Shravan shoved her aside to get his mobile and as he was about to leave, he took a last glance at her. He saw her struggling to get a lock of hair out of the way when she did tie the dori but he just went straight to her.He lowered both of her hands instantly and gently untied the dori to release the lock of hair that was stuck and helped tie the dori for her correctly. Sumo looked at Shravan who was rather miffed. He looked at her eyes from the reflection but Sumo,remembering Ramnath's words,took her translucent dupatta,gently touching Shravan's face,brushing against his stubble and she soon left from there.

Shravan's eyes searched for Sumo but just then Kamini and Ramnath called him over to introduce him to some business associates. While talking to them, he couldn't stop gazing at his Sumo, whom he would have never imagined to be extremely gorgeous and he couldn't believe what he was about to say next. He got to admit that she was hot. But he hated the distance between them,which she created in the first place. All he wanted to do right now was to tell her his deepest feelings but she was making things complicated not only for herself but for him as well. He finally mustered the courage to excuse himself and walked towards her.

But he stopped. He saw Sumo chatting up a guy. Someone he didn't know, but she clearly knew. He was flirting with her,he thought.And she was enjoying it. How could she? Just then, Preeti saw Shravan staring at Sumo and confirmed her doubts. His eyes spoke a lot to her indirectly,thus she interrupted Suman and told her Shravan is waiting for her as it is their time to shine.

Shravan walked up to the backstage and Sumo followed him without a word. The curtains were closed for some time and Shravan was taking these moments to suppress his restlessness. They took their positions and began to dance but it was a totally different song from which they had rehearsed on. Sumo looked around and looked at Preeti who was equally confused. Kamini smiled, seeing them dance so intimately despite the change in song. After all, who could have expected both of them, especially Shravan to be really comfortable dancing with Sumo on a romantic number. She knew Ramnath was burning with rage from within. She wanted that and even more.

(Shravan's POV)

Sumo and Shravan had stood in close proximity by the end of the song. Their faces so close, and Shravan saw Sumo's eyes being closed and having lost herself in their dance and her lips had come so close to him. Just when he thought of whispering her name and kissing her cheeks, she opened her eyes in shock. Yet, once again, the whole terrace scene was repeating itself. She wasn't herself again but before she could run, everyone applauded for them.Preeti and Pushkar clapped the most. Sumo and Shravan came down and hugged Preeti and Pushkar respectively.

Sumo excused herself before Shravan could say anything.

'Yeh baar baar mujhse door kyun jaa rahi hai?Jab bhi baat karna chahtha hoon tab bhi door jaati hain..' Shravan muttered and just as he turned around,he saw the same guy who was now talking to Preeti instead.

Pushkar:Bhaiyya, you were awesome back there..Sach mein,mere saare dost on ke mu bandh kardi aapne..

Shravan:Lekin uska mu toh bandh hi nahin ho raha..

Pushkar:Arre woh??Par aapko itni problem kyun hai?

Shravan:He's chatting up your Preeti aur tumhe koi farqh nahin pad raha hai?

Pushkar:Uffo bhaiyya,that's her bhaiyya from USA. He came here especially for the sangeet and he too brought Sumo's outfit for today.Ek minute, aapko kya laga?Ki main aise hi Preeti ko kisi aur se baat karne doongi??

Shravan:Main toh bas yeh...

Pushkar:Ab samjha...You saw him talking to Sumo as well,didn't you???and you got jealous???? (Had a wide grin on his face but Shravan was irked)

Shravan:Not funny,Chote...

Pushkar:Ab jaa kar Sumo se baat karoge ya phir main...

Shravan scanned the sangeet hall.She was nowhere around. He tried the changing room but she was not there either. Has she gone from there?But how could she just leave without informing anyone?

He went up to Dabboo and asked him if he saw Sumo and told him that she went home to set up a surprise for Preeti but no one knows about it so it was a secret plan. Shravan made a promise to him as well that he wouldn't reveal it to anyone. He soon left without a word from there.

Suman was pacing herself to and fro. She felt ashamed of herself for constantly failing in keeping her promise to avoid Shravan. She kept sensing Shravan's intimacy through his touch enveloping her soul. The way he pulled her waist towards him and made her lose herself in those charming eyes which glanced back at her, kept repeating itself in her mind. She can't let him come any more close to her.

Shravan was numb with pain as he eavesdropped and heard everything through her tears. He leaned against the wall, trying his best to control his tears but left promptly before Sumo could suspect anything.He was glad that Sumo didn't close the front door properly. It was slightly ajar and hence he was able to hear her true voice. The reason why she was making him restless. But why should she sacrifice her love for him??Doesn't she realize that he too loved her back??Did his gut feeling turn out to be wrong?

He shut himself up in his room. He looked at his mobile which had his and Sumo's photos. Pushkar had secretly helped take her photo today before their dance. He let out his tears, hugging his mobile and cried his heart out.
