Om didn't attempt suicide

Guys, please spare that guy some slacks. He didn't go to pool to commit suicide and if he had tried to commit suicide on impulse, then he would not have thought of removing his shoes and fall to the pool. His shoes were scattered outside the pool and even. May be in his frustration, he was kicking the shoes and whatever comes in his way and would have toppled into the pool unintentionally. He just ran out of that scene where his parents were fighting about his father's integrity / fidelity. he just tried to escape from that scene and not from the life. He was aware of his father's link with his secretary and by no means that news on TV would have pushed him to death. If he were idealizing his father as "Srirama Chandra" and his mother too innocent about her husbands rasaleela, then yes he would have thought of his mother's reaction and in the fear to lose her or face her, he would have thought of taking away his life but both he & his mother are privy to the fact that Tej was romancing his secretary and by no means OM was thinking of his family reputation, so spare him from branding him as suicidal.

I think he did this in subconscious mind.
And the Om I know is not the one who will take this step or it's another facet of Omkara

Yes even I didn't like this act of Om which was well predicted by Shivaay. I would have loved it had he gone back to his sculpture or for a change gone to the news channel to gather the information about the leakage. But for him his father's affair was not new, so may be he didn't react aggressively here.

Ek toh he won't even try to commit suicide by drowning in a pool.

He had taken pills and jumped into the pool. Later the doctor advised it was a very close call. He did try to commit suicide escape from the situation

Does drug affects so instantly that in no time he was out of the room and into the lawn and consumed pills and giving himself to its effect and in that state plunge to the pool?

If he had tried to commit suicide, the first thing on opening his eyes, he would have wondered about his life or tried to go away from the people and not looking for Shivaay and thinking about his reactions to the news.
