I am loving the show especially the brother's bond and the three male leads individually, not such big fan of the shivaay and annika's love story as for now, but it ain't that bad, and it has not even started properly so I don't want to judge that.

Shivaay, Omkara, Rudra I just love all of them and it can't be explained in words how much I respect them for keeping their bond intact despite growing in a family like theirs, especially the two older ones, Rudra would have at least been protected by his brothers.

Shivaay for one has many layers according to me one side he is the loving and doting brother and grandson while to the outside world he is an arrogant business man. What dadi said was that Shivaay valued family name and money more than anything else, and he would only prefer having connection with people that those, whether it is the relation of hate and love, and this is something Shivaay accepts himself, but I don't blame him for his attitude one bit. Imagine you being born in a house hold where your mother loves you more than money, your father keeps running from his responsibilitiss, your uncle thinks of you as a threat, your aunt who was from one of those who gave love to you but then even she goes into the influence of alcohol. You have three siblings and a grandmother who love you the most, but each time a question arises in your mind you can't ask them for an answer, each time there is fear in your head you can't bring it to your lips, each time there is pain that needs to be let out you have to keep a smile on, because your siblings are younger to you, you feel the need to protect them, to lessen their stress, give them a shoulder to cry on and your grandmother herself lives in the fear of her family being broken you can't afford to break her more. Imagine having no one to let out your heart and having everything bottled in, you become hard from the inside. Of course the world outside is a reason for his attitude while maybe there are people like annika there are also people like annika's aunt, who is money hungry, there are people like the vegetable vendor who Shivaay dashed into who would yell and shout on the streets so that he could gather a crowd and get monetary benefit. I get though Shivaay was responsible for the accident so he paid for the damage but I didn't actually see what damage had been done, did his cart break or did his vegetables get smashed or did they fall on the ground. In the first two case paying was fine, because the vegetables are spoilt and cannot be sold, or he needs to by a new cart, but if vendor was an honest person and the third case happened which am guessing did, because Shivaay didn't bang into it that hard he was just reversing his car and must have dashed lightly into it which from neither could the cart break or all of the vegetables be spoilt. If the vendor had been an honest one he would ask Shivaay to buy the vegetables as people might not buy the ones that are fallen on the ground (though I don't understand why because many vegetable grow underground and all vegetables are being used), so basically Shivaay should only paid for those few vegetables that got spoilt, and it looked that he had given alot of money to the vendor but you don't see any complaining then by the vendor, with people like this around him, what impression do you think he is supposed to have of the other world.

Omkara a self made man whose sculptures and painting speaks volume, I still remember the time he was introduced he was giving creating the ganesh statue that had been used in mahaarti, and am pretty sure both were the same because of the eyes of the statue which were the most beautiful part of it and made me a fan of his art, though am still confused why was tej so angry at Omkara not coming earlier, I mean if Omkara hadn't made the statue whose Aarti would be done. Though I loved this guy's relationship he kept with his siblings and grandmother who he stands strong for his mother against his own father, yet I was never that impressed, but I started liking the character when the drug addict past was out, I am a bit crazy I don't prefer perfect characters, with no mistakes, instead I love those who are imperfect, so that they can actually be a story on how they realise their mistakes and be better rather than other people in the show worshipping them, not saying that om is or was those mahan serial bahu types to me, just that I feared that. So I have started loving and respecting his character alot more because it is not easy to get out of a addiction like this but winning over it and never getting into it again is highly appreciateable. Even before this I have loved his conversations especially those with Shivaay, it is really great how he understands his brother, which is clearly shown during the maha Aarti scene where when Shivaay steps forward everyone thinks he will be doing it, even dadi had lost hope, it is only Omkara and Rudra, whose expressions have not changed a single bit because of their trust. I also love who he stands up for himself, whether that be his father for his mother or Shivaay for the fire incident.

Rudra has not been explored yet that much, but he brings life into the show, the episode has more life with it, his life depends on his elder brothers who he knows will always protect him.

In one line I just love obroei brothers.

Sorry if my opinion has hurt anyone.

Why would your opinion hurt anyone? I'm sure many people here have similar opinions 😆 And that's a good take on the show, so far, and on the brothers! I'm new to the forum myself and was thinking to make a topic about the brothers since I'm watching for them; I'll just comment here 😛 (Btw, you might not remember me, but we know each other from the NAUC forum, I changed my name 😆)

At first, I only heard about the show and wasn't that interested to watch it because of the name "Ishqbaaz" and thinking that it'll be just another romance (not that big on those). Then I caught a glimps of an episode, it was the one where the brothers were shown cooking together (after the incident with the man burning himself at the function), and I became intrigued. You get so many shows revolving around sisters, but how many shows revolving around brothers are out there? And I'm just loving the dynamics between the Oberoi brothers - such a beautiful relationship they share! <3

When with his dadi or brothers, Shivaay seems a changed person- or rather, his real self. He's protective of them (though, Om and Shivaay seemingly took the whole fighting in the club lightly with getting drinks and only watching at first, Shivaay's later outburst when he told Rudra he'd kill him if Rudra will put himself into danger again showed that the scene did affect him), considerate (he wisely chose not to the Om what his father was up to, e.g. planning to divorce his mom) and always worries about them. Admittedly, I'm disliking his attitude toward poor Annika and what he did in yesterday's episode took this tension between them way too far. Be arrogant, don't like her and whatnot, but how can you just send her to jail over night without confirming anything? Though, as you wrote, this is how he is- prejudiced when it comes to people lower in status than him, proud of his name and wealth. He needs to get to know Annika better, and will slowly change his mindset in this regard. They both have one major similarity they could very well bond over: being older siblings and thus, protective of their younger siblings.

Om's just amazing, lol. I agree with you, imperfect characters are much more interesting than "perfect" ones. Generally speaking, Indian writers seem to be capeable of creating flawed male leads but not flawed female leads (mostly, not always). I like his vulnerability (struggling but still being strong in staying away from drugs), his honesty and how deep he actually is. He understands Shivaay so well, he understands the things Shivaay doesn't understand about himself. Seems like whatever he has been through has wisened him up a lot. He is apparently The Voice of Reason of the trio. As for Tej, I guess he doesn't care about Om's art, he probably doesn't accept it as a valid profession. Furthermore, it's Shivaay who's interested in the business not Om, that must irk Tej a lot.

Rudra's my favorite, hands down! 😆 He hasn't been explored much, yet, but his mere presence lights up the screen. His antics are just way too cute, and the way Shivaay and Om indulge him <3 Although, it seems like he doesn't know that much about what's going on around him, at times it feels like he intentionally tries to diffuse tensed situations with his antics (like that one time when Shiv and Om were fighting about why the news of the guy burning himself were not in the media). Hope he doesn't get sidelined; did they show any scenes with him and his parents? He's not in the race for the "throne" and doesn't matter, lol? 😆 Do we know the age difference between the brothers? I'd assume some months between Shivaay and Om, but what about Rudra? The way he behaves, it seems like couple of years younger than them.

So, loving the show because of the Obros. I don't care that much about love stories (I do like Annika individually, though) but hope that the relationship of the brothers will remain a main focus; for me, it's the essence of the show ❤️

Btw, do we have an AT for the brothers?

Thanks for the lovely comment, I agree annika is a good character not dormat type and stands up for herself so as an individual I respect her, just hope she remains like that, I do like lovestory in shows but only when the main concept of the show is not only love story.and yes Rudra is a darling he is the smile of the show, even I had felt Rudra had done that on purpose and was trying to cool the atmosphere. I don't think there is an AT for the bros, but there should be one.
