Why hasn't Astika taken over or usurped the throne??

I can't help but wonder why?? He is probably more stronger and younger than Takshak. To top it he is Mansa's son and Shiva's grandson which should make him quiet powerful. Then why is he a demigod always taking orders from Takshak? He should have been the current King of Naaglok. I just don't understand his loyalty to Takshak when he barely owes him anything. On the hand it was Astika who saved Takshak's life and owes a ton to him.

I was wondering the same. For Takshak he can kill his wife and harm his son. Why ?

Also why he keeps saying I am not the old Astika anymore ? What does it mean ? He was kind before ?

Ya ur right, but it is just a concept of the show that he is shown blind follower of takshak when according to myth he was the one who save takshak but there insnt any facts that he was severing takshak. or not 😕 and even vasuki is king of snakes but in this show his potrayal is weak.😕😕

Well vasuki is weak because he lost his powers while trying to hide the Mani. But what he did now seems foolish considering that he only ended up giving out Arjun's identity to Arjun. So here I want call him weak but rather foolish considering that every one including Astika addresses him as a Guru. Astika on the other hand seems to sly to be obeying takshak's every orders. Who knows maybe takshak's blackmailing him or something. Moreover you can't really consider Astika to be a part of Takshak's clan either since he's mansa's son.

We don't know what the old Astika was but yes it seems that he was a noble and kind warrior as referred by Vasuki who keeps pointing that his blind loyalty to Takshak is what has corrupted him. However we don't know the reason for his loyalty towards Takshak. Why would a mighty warrior like him now to a lowlife like Takshak?
