When Kareena doesnt wanna work with someone, she doenst sign the film.

Truth is, the film had a lot of intimate scenes that she at the time was not comfortable doing with ANYONE. She opted for the much more tame Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. At the same time, she woucl focus on her wedding prep as opposed to the amount of work that goes into an SLB film, and also the fact that SLB demand 150 block days from her, also scared her off. At the time, SLB was coming out of flops, and Kareena didn't trust him enough to give all her dates up to that director.

She never had anything against Ranveer.
It's been a sad coincidence that Ranveer has been in the films that she initially signed up and later left.

But with Kareena, isn't that common? She does it ALL the time. She signs films and then leaves them.
I don't know why only in Ranveer's case it's made out to be something personal. It's not.

i agree with everything you said, except the above. There's no way she would reject SLB because he had given a string of flops. He was on her bucket list, and just for having it checked off, she would've gone ahead with the film. Have intimate scenes is most likely the reason she didn't continue with the film, that and perhaps wedding preparations.

But really, both were astoundingly stupid reasons, for an actress. She could've had a wedding a few months later, saif wasn't going to run away. And limiting your intimacy level on screen is really professional suicide given that movies in bollywood have evolved. Imagine the success she could've attained had she gone ahead with Ram Leela. Shes a spectacular actress, and in the hands of SLB, she would've been beyond glorious. Now, she'll always be remembered for JWM. While a great movie, no doubt, but nothing to write home about.

She's made some awful, awful choices throughout her career. I'm still hoping she'll have that ONE role that will change her legacy. She had hoped it would be with Madhur Bhandarkar, but alas, it was not to be.

I agree it was very stupid.

I think she realized how much damage the "no kissing or intimacy" clause did, to both her and Saif's careers. They both must have refused quite a few scripts.

Its' changed now, she admitted that they both were wrong and changed their minds, since they were initially very possessive of each other, but with time there is much more security in their relationship.

An additional thing - SLB is known to be a task master, he makes his actors WORK. He likes perfection. Kareena's a LAZY actress. She saw GTPM as a "convenient" film to do. Punit's last film was a hit, it was dharma, she was comfortable with production and costar (Imran), and it was rated G
