I think that too only because in one of the episodes I remember her saying something like-refering to sita and a bit to jugnu- "tumne chinki ko bhi aapne tara kiya"

Something like that so I think she is their step mother and chinki's real mother.

Plus, how on earth could she be sonia's friend and have 3 kids, it just dont sound right if you think about it
