Everyone had a troubled night in this episode.
Dadi, is very much upset by the talk of separation of the two families. She calls in the memory of their father, who's dream they were living in his absense. Immediately, all are trite and disperse to their respective corners.
Omkara is also brooding, as all the ugliness of his life was bandied about in the open, aloud. He is a recovering addict and has to bear with the repeated taunts of people. Making things worse, Shivaay comes into his room and does a spot check in all the cupboards, looking for suspicious items.
That broke my heart. Shivaay must've been the one who had to drag him back from the slump and snap him back into place. He must be constantly vigilant about Omkara, lest he sank back in a moment of weakness. This is interesting chemistry between the brothers. One is power hungry and class conscious; the other is a recovering addict with an intolerance for hypocrisy.
Oberoi House is Magnificent but filled with problems. So sad.
Annika needs her keys to get Sahil's present, but it fell down at the Oberoi's. She arrives to meet Priyanka for it, but right then the electricity goes out. Courtesy of the skulking scarred woman.
"Say you're sorry.." Shivaay growl menacingly to a stunned Annika. The refusal sent her doused into the swimming pool. But the threat didn't stop, he pursued her into the pool for the apology he wanted. She refuses.
When he couldn't bully her into doing what he wanted, he resorts to manhandling. Brute force. No doubt just to scare her.
Bully. He'll be sorry soon enough.
I must say, the light play with night lights and the pool was really beautiful. Hats off DOP!
