The formula for a show's success seems to be:

Public Voting=High TRP

(Assuming all things being equal)

Currently this seems to be the marketing trend for most shows and more and more shows are turning to the public for their decisions. Unfortunately the final outcome has always been questionable, but it does save the judges a lot of blame and fingerpointing on fairness.

What do you think?

Thanks for the TRP table. People generally start getting edgy when there is Public voting and the adrenalin starts flowing and even the "fireworks" in the forums shoots up ( and Mods have to work OT).

I do not think that formula always holds true. I think ch7 did have a higher TRP even before public voting. The contemporary rival shows were also having the same TRPs whether there were voting or not. Not many may enjoy a kids show, i doubt if even the kids view it.

In view of parallel kids singing show running now, I feel the TRPs might suffer now rather than improve.

TRP for Star Plus's Voice of India was not that good even in the final weeks.

TRP comes with quality of the show plus good-bad judges' contradiction plus good guests in the show.

So basically kids programmes do not attract that much attention compared to the adult singing programmes.

But if we have public voting for Kid programmes, I am sure the TRP wud be higher ( assuming all things being equal as to show quality etc.) as there is greater participation and interest.

They should have kept one more judge, preferable female judge or a Judge who is a Music Director.
