How do you define a man who failed to bury his past behind and is haunted by the demons of the same every waking hour?

How do you define a man who has seen hell and yet hopes with a fragile string in his heart that heaven will grace him soon?

How do you define a man who has seen and survive uttered hate and still believes in the power of love?

How do you define a man who had fallen apart only to stand back because others needed him?

Maybe no definition of ours can suffice the magnificent puzzle that is Omkara Singh Oberoi. He is the calm after a massive storm. He is the healing after a severe hurt. He is the relief after terrorizing agony and he is the smile after cries of pain. The more that I see him, the harder I fall for him. He has a magnetic charm to him and I am drawn like someone possessed.

The bitter winds of past blew yet again; bringing with them the ordeals long forgotten. So Omkara had fallen to the pits of darkness once: allowing hallucinations and momentary gains to take the better of him. He had briquetted his grief for substance abuse to soak it in, only to fail and fail miserably. Had Shivaay not acted taking charge of his life he probably would have been a tail lost in oblivion.

Even knowing the truth of his past and the shady secrets of the same, you can't hate him. All you can do is pray that his heart finds the solace he so greedily waits for. He hails from a family that hardly cares about him. A father who is ever hungry for power and position must have never had time to love him. A mother who still is obsessed with her own grief to take a proper note of him. Brothers who were perfect outwardly taking charge of their own lives...it must have left Om in a state of perpetual loathing for himself and the easiest escape must have been the darker cretins of the underground.

You can see he regrets his stand. Or maybe he regrets that he survived that ordeal when he should have succumbed. He seems to be living on with a survivor's guilt that is breaking him into a million fragments slowly and most painfully. He was pained when Pinki made a brutal attack on his past. He maybe was penitent that he lives to see this day. When Svetlana made a covert attack he was agitated for the previous negatives were again hounding at his door. When he heard the split would take place he fell apart as his life would now be empty and hollow and this is the last thing he wants after having gone through a void of similar nature in past.

Omkara is a soldier who has given up on victory yet fights along his brethren only because he doesn't want them to fail the way he did. I now see why Om has taken refuge to the lifeless idols he so creates with passion. Those hard cold sculptures don't judge him or put the weight of their expectations on him. They don't want him to excel or fail, they are ambivalent to his state and that what makes him calm down in a deeper level. Yes, his brothers Shivaay and Rudra ease out his pain, but there are a few windows that cannot be opened by all. Hiding behind those Om still grieves at the odd mix of fate that he has been gifted. You can see he craves for a family that is bound together by love and not obligation. While his brothers and Dadi provide him with the much needed warmth, he is left to whither in snow colds Alps for most part of his existence. The reason why he is aloof is because of the constant nagging fear that he might turn toxic for ones around him. The reason why he hates lies is because he has lived with them for so long and the reason why he cries is because tears are all that he has to offer. His heart, his soul, his mind all lay battered beyond recognition and he doesn't hope for them to stitch back. That people is Omkara. The man shining after the darkest of clouds covered his light.

Kunal was phenomenal last night. He owned the episode. I can't believe he is the same guy whom I struggled to like in The Buddy Project. His eyes speak volumes! The pain, the fear, the anxiety were all visible in a scene that lasted for a few seconds in the total run of the episode. He is an actor par excellence and no amount of praise will actually suffice his intensity of Omkara. The guy is simply flawless. And here is special shout out to the makers who wrote this character down. It is once in a blue moon that such characters, who resonate within your heart, make an appearance on TV. After a horde of supposed' heroes we have one who is raggedly ours and there cannot be enough thank yous' for the same. He is the first man after Dutta and Arjun to make a home in my heart.

Shivaay, well I have to admit that I grudgingly respecting this guy now. He might be rude, blasphemous, insensitive and maniacal but he can love and love with all he has. He took charge of Om and pulled him out of his pit of self-pity. He hasn't allowed Rudra to go astray and has been standing firmly as a rock protecting his loved ones. He might be wretched because he was forced to be so but he has locked away the mammoth piece of his heart in the love of his brothers and that is enough to prevent him from turning into a cold-hard-math.

Last night was again a solid proof of the fact that this guy is bred with power-and-money-can-buy-everything'. That will be his undoing for you can't have it all with naam-paisa-power'. He provoked Anika and now expects her to mellow down. You could see that there was a ghost of frown that crossed his face when Anika pointed out he called her brother a handicapped. But that moment crawled away so fast that his ever present anger took its place yet again. His teal eyes had been shooting fire and that promised vengeance. And that's it. That was all we had.

I do not like the way they are dealing with Shivaay. One step forward and four steps back. And for heaven's sake utilize Nakul's brilliance as a performer. The can act so why not allow him to? I am very disappointed with the way they are taking Shivaay for granted. He has a lot of potential but that doesn't seem to be alarming the writers.

And yes Jhanvi spoke what we wanted to hear. "Shivaay is like a son to me."

I have never heard Rudra or Om making any felicitous remark towards Pinki, but Shivaay did address her as Badi Ma. Maybe he had tried to pull her out of the nightmarish torture she had been braving but failed to reach his goal. Maybe Jhanvi adores him for the same. She is a modern day adaptation of the melancholic Mughal Princess Man Bai. One who had loved all but received none in return. Only solace is that Om stands by her and loves her without conditions unlike her husbands who willingly went into the arms of another woman. It was nice to see Jhnavi take a stand for herself, she did slap Pinki hard putting across that she will not take anything invective about her son. And her styling is to die for. I love the way she wears tunics over a saree. New #FashionGoal.

Pinki has shitty brain and shittier mouth. This woman can love no one, not even her own son in front of money. She is practically selling out Shivaay to secure her position in the house. No wonder

Shivaay is unable to love her as a son should. I wish Jhanvi had hit her with her pauua' and broken her nose!

Tia and her mom are way too same in irritating the hell out of you, so I don't want to talk about them.

Svetlana made her second entry and made it blatant that she would enter the house as the rightful owner of the same. Her direct threats to Om is just strengthening my belief that this time round it is Lakshman who will be exiled and not Ram. Svetlana seemingly has a personal score to settle with Om. Is it that her advances were refused by Om in the past? God why is everyone hell bent on destroying the poor guy? Okay and is it just me or Svetlana's music has a sexy feel to it??

And another vamp makes her entry. She has a burn scar on her right arm and that makes me think is the villainous gang somehow related to the fire in the factory that Dadi talked about after the Maha Aarti? This woman is undoubtedly related to this faceless Ashok. Now question is who is she? Ashok's friend, sister, wife or mistress? Or is she is jilted lover who was denied love at the hands of Tej or Shakti?? Too many questions with little answers.

The precap was boring. A Devdas kind of drama. -_-

I know I am late but hey my mom has taken ill and I had to cook for my family. Please don't pass out due to the shock of the same for no one died after eating the same.

Added: I just zeroed on this, maybe Sandhya (hope the name is right!) and Tia are toying with Shivaay for his money. I mean Tia doesn't exactly spell miss-goody-two-shoes after all!

no need for late appearence i am also late... internet and chrome problem...

I really liked the scene where Om showed the way to her.. and the way she calmly replied i was like she is threatening him i was god...

Pinky is really a mean firstly she is indirectly hurting Jhanvi and wants her reaction and when she gives the reaction by walking in fromt of her then creating a scene... Jhanvi is really a pure soul where pinky's own son respects his badi this shows Shivaay has gotten a motherly affection from badi ma only... may be he was the first child and jhanvi showered the whole love to him...

For Om what should i say... I know what he has gone through he is artist and he has a studio in his home... most of the time Om is always present in home... seeing this kind of situation it must have hurted him very badly and he lost his ways and succumbed to drinks and gambling... seeing his state Shivaay helped i am glad he was redeemed... You really expressed and wrote it very well.. he has layer and Kudos to the writer who has this imagination... The torture he was going through and anguish he was showing i was feeling really speechless and sad look what has he gone through noone should be i his place it's really like dieing thousand times...

I can't speak more... Om k wounds dekhke i forgot that appahiz thing...

Hey shivu waiting for your review and take care of your mom

Om no Omkara because I love this name, first of all I bow down to the writers who wrote this character because as you said these types of characters are seen once in a new moon and thanks gul khan.

Well after Abhay Raichand this is the character making me crazy. When we come to one conclusion about this character next some more pages of him revealed. He had a dark past or I will say a past like a nightmare. He had fight so many battles and now also fighting but no where make others to see the pain he is going through. He smiles at Rudra's mischiefs, tries hard to make Shivay happy.Such a beautiful soul and am not even getting words to describe him.You are right atleast that sculptures don't judge him or expect anything from him like his dad and others. He finds solace in those sculptures I guess. That scene was beautifully shot.

This is my first show of Kunal,he is just phenomenal in yesterday's episode. No dialogues he did everything with his expressions and eyes. I am proud to be his phanki

Shivay he is the reason of today's Omkara. I respect this man but the character has no consistency one day something other day something.Gul please utilize the actor.

Jhanvi this character has so much potential,it's clear that she treats Shivay as his son may be because he was there for Om when actually he needs her more but that woman was so much in her grief that she lost somewhere in this mess. She knows her son always stands by her side unlike her husband. I loved how she gave it back to Svetlana and slap to pinky.. She is class when it comes to fashion.

Pinky what kind of a woman she is,she heard everything Om said about Shivay still she talks do much ill words for Om,wish Shivay heard that he could have roasted her alive.

Tia well like jhanvi said except pinky no one are interested in her.

Svetlana this woman is going to play a big role in exile I too think she had some personal grudge with Om. I think this time it's lakshman who is going for exile. Not only music she too looks sexy.

New vamp well I will wait for some time to comment.

Precap: Nothing interesting for me.

Off topic:Now am seriously scared of Omie, gul dare not to ruin this character. She has the habit of royally messing her show and characters. This time am going to kill her if she dare to touch Omkara

Thanks for understanding.

Om was on fire last night. Both at showing Svetlana out and dealing with his pain of his past.

Pinki is a donkey! She deliberately goes to provoke Jhanvi and take pleasures in pressing open her cuts. How dare she accuse and belittle her when she herself isn't that clean. And yes it looks that whatever little motherly love Shivaay got was from Jhanvi only. His own mother was too busy prying in power.

Om now commands our love, respect and adoration. the guy has gone through so much and yet hasn't given up on life itself. He must have been hurt with his soul ripped out in the open yet he stays put because of his brothers without whom he might not survive. I love the bond between the brothers even more now after knowing that Shivaay went all out to help Omkara. Om is love!😳

I can't speak more... Om k wounds dekhke i forgot that appahiz thing...

Oh is it? Well the man is so intense that we are knocked off everything else.

I was waiting for your post since morning 😆.Omkara is a gallant knight yet so vulnerable. His scene lasted for just 2-3 minutes but the impact he made with that one freaking scene was brilliant. I loved the cinematography in that scene when om threw his statue. That scene gave me chills down the spine. Kunal was just fabulous. I think no one could have played omkara's role better than kunal *_* His acting is just flawless.Svetlana should buzz off and i want more janhvi and om scenes#Teamomkara always. jahnvi should have given two more tight slaps to pinki. Worst mother ever. FYI mrs. pinki oberoi that JATADHARI OMKARA would go to any extent to keep your son safe. Shivaay is rude arrogant with a typical male ego but this guy won my heart because of his love for his brothers . He gave a new life to om.Nakuul is a great actor but they are showing him as a typical chauvinist. His character has so much depth but CVs aren't exploring it.Ps : I loved how you started your post . You describe OM perfectly <3 kudos to the writers for creating a character like omkara and kunal for giving life to this character. Take care of your mom

How to gauge a man's worth is something this toxic family members excluding a few, really to understand!

Pinky for whom money and status are everything views Omkara as the lowest of all useless beings. She who prizes money more than her own blood finds Omkara's nonchalance to the family name abhorrent and his descend to the world of gambling and booze perhaps as a sign that her son is the only perfect heir of the family. I have a feeling that the fact that Om has bounced back to his feet, whole and hearty; stronger than before makes her feels very angry at him. She probably is furious and in her heart holds jealousy against both mother and son.

No matter how much she tries, a drunkard Jhanvi may be but she is far classier than she can hope to be. Top of that Tej runs much of the business whereas her own husband remains a mute witness to the darker arenas. Shivaay is her only chance to shine and Omkara's addiction was perhaps a stroke of luck for her. Unfortunately Shivaay brought him back and now Om is successful on his own right. The kingdom he rules is independent of the Oberois and he is the master of his own fate. He is actually independent to a state that none of the other brothers are. Top of that Jhanvi-Om equation. There was a certain comfortable interaction between them in yesterday's episode and that indicated that they share a better relation than perhaps Pinky-Shivaay. Also as you have pointed out Shivaay to respects her and I believe Pinky's outburst was a culmination of all these buried imagined slights against her.

There is a saying that troubles in life actually shape a better character. The diamond needs to be polished before it sparkles its worth. Same is the case with Omkara. His descend to those darker places of the society is not a surprise, at least for me. Somewhere in me there was this thought that he was perhaps some kind of an addict. So yesterday's episode clearing up things was a good turnout. And I am very glad that CV's have used this angle for if Om can become this strong after coming back from the bottommost rung than imagine how far he can rise. He is at the top and has seen the bottom too. And this makes him the most powerful of the OhBros for he has seen both sides of the coin. This also makes him the hardest Oberoi for the enemies to defeat and that makes him a necessary target for the wise.

He is tired and worn out by his past and all these years he had been recuperating. Hiding in the background, behind his statues and within the shadow of his brothers' warm presence he had been healing from mortal wounds on his soul. But the winds are changing direction and a big transformation is on the brink. As you have pointed out he is like a soldier who had given up on victory and is moving for the sake of his brethren. This has been possible because of Shivaay's strength and Rudra's jovial presence. His healing is nearly at a complete stage.

But he still opts to stay in the background, for he doesn't want glory and nor does he want to shine specifically with the Oberoi name attached to his. But he still rises the lion in him when Tej tries to attack his love for his brother so that proves that when need arises Omkara will rise with a vengeance and that will be possible when his safety net is broken into.

Yes, this is what will actually make Omkara rise. Everyone believes him to be the non-threatening one but once Shivaay or Rudra get hurt by any of the darker schemes, Omkara will start his own race to annihilate them.

You watched The Buddy project too? Me too. I used to be a fan of Jaitley sir.

Shivaay-Anika scene gave me vibes of those Tashan-Romance scenes so let's skip it.

Coming back to Svetlana! I know both of us are quite determined that Om would be the one to be exiled another thought crept into my mind.

Svetlana is a snake of a woman who would stop at nothing to own the whole empire. If Rudra is actually her son, she would try to make him the heir.

Now the big question is why would she exile Om? Because Om is utterly indifferent to the Oberoi business, he would probably happily sign off his part to be rid of her. So why would she be after Om?

I don't know if it was my imagination but the way she surveyed Om yesterday gave me creeps. There was a hungry look in her eyes when she stared at him. It makes me feel as if there is another conspiracy afoot for if she wants business I think the best person to exile would be Shivaay.

But my gut instincts tell me it is Om who will leave so another thought brimmed up. What if Svetlana wants Om out of the way because he is the only legal heir to the Oberois?

If Rudra is her son than he is definitely born out of the wedlock. As for Shivaay, every time he goes NAM, PAISA, POWER; this thought comes to mind that if someday it is revealed that he actually is no Oberoi, he would be destroyed.

I am not even predicting this...it is just my feeling that tells me that the relevance of Svetlana's words mean something even more terrible and shocking than the obvious Om's exile.

Just imagine if she wants to exile him because he is actually the only legal heir.

It would be quite an upheaval won't it?

Thanks Rev. Mom's better now although I can't guarantee the well-being of my other family members as they have to eat what I cook!😆

Om no Omkara because I love this name, first of all I bow down to the writers who wrote this character because as you said these types of characters are seen once in a new moon and thanks gul khan.

Omkara is a man who makes his appearance once in a while. I thank Gul for giving us such a man.

I didn't like Abhay TBH. I found him to be a rip-off of Damon, Stefan and Edward. As far as Om is concerned then his battles are long over but the nightmares of that war isn't. His past is conflicting with his every waking thought and that makes his survival a rather difficult one. If the battle had ended with him emerging out of it all then probably he would have gone ahead with his life like a pro...but he cannot as the scars of battle disturb him still. He smiles with Rudra, enjoys with Shivaay and then in his solitude collapses under the weight of all that is daunting to him!

This is my first show of Kunal,he is just phenomenal in yesterday's episode. No dialogues he did everything with his expressions and eyes. I am proud to be his phanki

That is the thing. He had no earth-shattering dialogue yet he made us cry for him. The guy is awesome. Proud pankhi here as well.😳

Shivay he is the reason of today's Omkara. I respect this man but the character has no consistency one day something other day something.Gul please utilize the actor.

Yes Shivaay commands respect for all that he did for his brother. He can be another phenomenal character, Gul please take note.

Jhanvi is another trump card in making. She has so much to offer to both her family and the audience. The way she spoke about Shivaay makes it clear that she genuinely loves him. maybe she played his mother when Pinki was too busy spying on the Oberoi money. Maybe that is the reason why Shivaay fondly addresses her as Badi Ma and feels her pain. Even I loved it when she gave it back to Svetlana and slapped Pinki, My only wish was that she should have hit Pinki with her 'pauua'.

Pinky what kind of a woman she is,she heard everything Om said about Shivay still she talks do much ill words for Om,wish Shivay heard that he could have roasted her alive.

Pinki is disgusting. She knows how much Om loves Shivaay and how much Shivaay love him back yet she has to spew venom, I hate her!

Tia well like jhanvi said except pinky no one are interested in her.

Svetlana this woman is going to play a big role in exile I too think she had some personal grudge with Om. I think this time it's lakshman who is going for exile. Not only music she too looks sexy.

Svetlana definitely has a personal score to settle with Om. Maybe she had been refused by Om himself? After all she looks closer to Om in age. Either ways the swords are hanging over Om's head.

New vamp well I will wait for some time to comment.

Yeah let us wait for her some more.

Precap: Nothing interesting for me.

Same here.

Off topic:Now am seriously scared of Omie, gul dare not to ruin this character. She has the habit of royally messing her show and characters. This time am going to kill her if she dare to touch Omkara

Yes Gul. We'd murder you outright if you dare as much as touch Om. God save this character please!
