Unfortunate, insensitive: Aamir Khan on Salman's rape remarks

When asked if he would give any advice to Salman on this, Aamir said, "Who am I to give advice?"

Bollywood star Aamir Khan is the latest celebrity from Bollywood to weigh in on Salman Khan's controversial rape analogy, saying it is unfortunate and insensitive if he made those comments.

"I was not present... Going by media reports, I feel what he said is unfortunate and insensitive," Aamir told reporters here.

When asked if he would give any advice to Salman on this, Aamir said, "Who am I to give advice?"

The Dangal star, 51, was speaking at the poster launch of the film. Aamir said he is yet to speak to Salman on the issue.

Salman had landed himself in soup when he compared himself to a raped woman while taking about the physically gruelling shoot of Sultan. The actor has stayed mum on the controversy despite demands for an apology by women's groups.

don tknow how other shah fans felt when they saw their favorite cycling or should we say promoting his deep love for The Salman Khan of bollywood.

well i wasn't expecting this PATHETIC act.

i say ..the phrase: 'i felt like a raped woman'..might have just slipped from bhai...BUT what i found more disturbing, he pauses and continues: 'i couldn't walk straight'

bang your head and ask yourself ...how can someone who is not a rape victim can come up with such words.

and there follows a laugh from janta present there.

Well that is SRK personal life, now he cannot totally boycott his long time friend, yes I will call Sallu his friend as they have spent years.

Although I agree he should have condemned Sallu, instead of going round and round in his statement. Just like Aamir did. Aamir is ofcourse is not now a enemy of Sallu, but he has given his view on the issue. I mean we cannot accept our favourite stars to do something because we do not like the other person. Just like we in real life, have friends who say or do stupid things. Like I had a very good friend who was two-timing(it is different story he learned the lesson hard way). I always was against it, and even warned one of the girl indirectly. But that does not mean I boycotted my friend totally. So if I cannot totally boycott my friends, how can I accept a BW star to boycott his, especially given how important friendship (fake or real) is in this industry.

That is just my view point, there can be stronger people than me, who in my situation would have totally boycotted my friend, unlike me.

the biggest test of friendship is how well your friend can handle when you tell them they are wrong.. if u cannot be honest with ur friend.. there is no point of friendship. life is too short to be fake with people and to be with fake people. srk is fake and diplomatic
