Writers are slowly crafting their characters , much like Om (...) is slowly carving away at his sculpture.
Scene opens with the choreographer's set piece for the bride and groom, and Rudra's prank in placing Annika in the bride's place. The look on Shivaay's face to find this troublesome girl yet again, here in his house of all places.
Right now she's a highly annoying, absolutely uncontrollable and unintimidated, with potential damage to self and property. But innocent. All she has done is in retaliation to his heightened arrogance and snobbery.
Tia arrives just in time to see someone else in her place, getting Shivaay's full attention. I bet he doesn't stare into Tia's eyes this long before...
so she breaks the spell and lets Annika escape the scrutiny. But before that Shivaay has to rub it in, and his mom Pinky too.
They both rub salt saying that she is of low status, and her place is outside on the streets. How unbelievably arrogant ! Kya samach thi hai apne aap ko Shivaay? They talk of her low stature right in front of her as though she wasn't even there!
Understandably she is gutted. She leaves, the Oberois didn't feel the need to even apologize to her for their rudeness (yes, even Dadi and Rudra).
Tia goes on to console Shivaay. But what she says is scary to me..
"I know, Priyanka and Rudra have been such a disappointment to you today, no? "
Ohhh, trying to instigate him against his siblings is she?
Meanwhile, the words are echoing in Annika's head: Friendship and relationships should always be between equals. She finds she can't even pay for her trip back home via auto. But why? Don't Oberoi's pay for their catering??
An interesting convo later:
"Who gives medicines as a gift, bhai? Doe she want or expect you to fall ill?"
"Of course not ! It's the thought that counts! She got the best imported meds for me in case I need them! "
Hmmm... What meds could he be on I wonder? Anti anxiety? Anti hypertensives? Mood stabilizers? What would a fit and strong young man need with meds?
But in anger he says something, this is between me and Tia. You butt out of this.
"Is it because i'm not your real brother?" asks Rudra..
Did you guys notice, Priyanka and Rudra havent interacted with any of the parent Oberois? The latest theory is that Shivaay is the only child of Tej and Jhanvi ; while Omkara, Rudra and Priyanka are all Shakti and Pinky's)
But later , Om () calls out Shivaay for being so egotistical. She is not a helpless woman, Om. She is Trouble. She is middle class, they have survival instincts and thick skin. She wouldn't be upset over this nonsense, they know their place.
Shivaay has always been a lonely child. His parents weren't loving. and he learned that Name, Money and Power is all that he needs.

Shivaay is absolutely mean to Annika. And the girl is having a rough life already. separate post for that...
Random notes:
1. Please, Mr/Ms Wardrobe manager/ stylist: Your idea of high fashion is not very tasteful. I mean all you need to do is look at what B-town actresses are wearing. Your high fashion characters are looking very garish and loud. You want elegant, trust me. Tia, Svetlana, random gal friends all look too loud. Right now, best dressed lady is Jhanvi Oberoi.. Very classy..
