- | Chapter Six| -
Next Morning taani met Aryan and Aahana on the breakfast table. She came and took a seat beside aryan and started serving herself breakfast. The duo look at each other then at her, it was so unusual to have her around them and not speaking anything.
"Girlie, what happened to your lips?" Aahana, who was observing her with great concentration, questioned her when her gaze fall over her bruised lips.
Taani bit her lower lip and cursed her fate. She couldn't just simply tell, she had kissed Rey singhania last night. Taani was thinking of a reason when her gaze fall over him, who just entered the dinning area and took his seat.
"I kissed a monster last night." Taani joked.
As he heard those words, his head snapped toward her.
"Really?" Aryan asked her, looking at her suspiciously.
"No, Dumbo! I fell in washroom and this happened." Taani replied to him and much to her relief, her friends believed her.
"Guys, whats the plan for tonight?" Aahana asked them while munching her breakfast.
"Well, whatever it might be, i can't join. Sorry, guys." Taani said to them.
"What? But why?" Aryan questioned her.
"Because i have got another job! And juggling between two jobs and college, is not going to be easy and i can't take out time for our night outs." Taani explained him.
"What? Another job? But are you sure, will you able to handle." Aahana asked her concernedly.
"Yea! I have to. You know, how expensive further courses are, i need to save money for mba." Taani told her. Her friends nodded in understanding. They know about taani & her family's relations and try to support their friend as much as they can. They stand by her side like a true family.
"So, what is your new job about?" Aryan asked her. Taani passed a smiled to them, she loves when these two act all protective for her and take interest in her matters, to guide her and give their opinions, correct her if she is wrong.
"Well, there is a couple in our neighborhood who needs a tutor for their daughter. They are nice people and pay is also good, so i took it up." Taani told them, the duo nodded in response.
They continued having their breakfast where as rey, who listened to their conversation, was quite surprised and confused to know about taani working when she comes from a quite reputed and rich family.
"Bye, bro! We are leaving for college." His chain of thoughts was broken when he heard his brother, Aryan. Rey gave a curt nod to his brother then shifted his gaze to taani who avoided him and walked away from there.

Two days later.
"Rey! Where are you? Its your birthday and you are missing since morning." Rey sighed when he heard his best friend's voice from the other side of the call.
"Shilpa, two hours more. This meeting is really important and i can not afford to miss it." Rey said to her.
"Rey! Party will start in few hours. And i don't know how, but you have to reach on time." Came a reply from the other side.
"Alright. I will try my best to come on time." Rey answered, knowing she had done lots of hardwork to through a birthday party for him, even he wasn't interested in one, but for the sake of her, he has to attend it.
"I will be waiting for you." He heard her response before the line went dead. He sighed and placed his cell phone back on table. He never liked celebrating his birthday in grand, loud way but he couldn't even say no to shilpa.

Rey was driving back home, it was pouring down heavily. He was late and was praying shilpa won't kill him today for getting late in his own party, though it won't be first time.
He was concentrating on the road when his gaze fell over a familiar figure walking on the road side.
"Taani?" It didn't took a moment to recognize her. He stopped his car at side and opening the door of his car, he stepped out. In a moment, he was drenched in rain.
"Taani!" He called out for taani. Taani, who heard someone calling out for her, looked up and was surprised to see him standing infront of her. She took hasty steps and reached near him.
"What are you doing here?" Taani asked him.
"I was going back home when i spotted you. Hop in, i will drop you." Rey said to her.
"No! Thats alright. I will manage." Taani denied as politely as she could.
"Taani, i am not asking you, i am telling you. Its getting late and its not safe here." Rey told her in stern tone, letting her know he won't take no as an answer.
"I hate when you are right." Taani grumbled, she walked over the passenger seat side door and sat inside.
"And i love when you obey me." Rey thought to himself with a smirk. He hopped in and drove away from there.
