Importance of Subtitles

So I was reading this article in a newspaper about subtitles in films. Don't you think it would be cooler to add subtitles to regional films while playing them in different parts of India? Would they increase the audience and exposure for these films. Or wouldn't it make much of a difference?

it would be great if regional/bollywood movies release with subtitles. but agar aise subtitles diya toh ghadbad ho jayega😆
