Sumo lost her parents. I can see why its "Shravan being Sumo ke vaaste" (sounds sappy, I knowđ)
In those black and white childhood moments we see how Shravan aesthetically slips into that place for her. She doesn't realize this and neither does he but the underlying bond that is between them is far from mere "friendship".
What had me in a glitch was how it was ever going to be "Sumo being Shravan ke Vaaste" because clearly Ramnath took up that place of being Shravan's first and foremost.
Parents always trump lovers. This is the root cause and creation of epic drama-laden love stories. Either parents agree in the end or the lovers die. There may be other outcomes but most put forth their parents before anything else.
Hence the phrase "Ek Duje Ke Vaaste" used to seem too sappy to me. It was quite recently I realized that how deeply decoded this series is! Its translation is not "Being for one another" no that would be wrong because it is "Existing for one another". Yes right, "Mil jate hai jo BANE Ek Duje Ke Vaaste".
This is the journey of two people of becoming each other's everything and by that I mean literally everything. Surpassing even the most important relationship one has.
When Ramu kaka turned evil, I knew I loved this show! Because that was the very beginning of Sumo-for-Shravan. Even Ramnath knows the intensity of their relationship and he has to actually work to stay in that first and foremost slot of Shravan's. A parent can always shut up their child by expressing monopoly over their child's major life decisions and still not be threatened of their position in their child's life.
It goes without saying that Sumo loves her mother the most and Shravan will start on that journey soon but all this while, when Sumo is clearing her mom's debt and Shravan is realizing his mom's love, they will be in this together. Remember how easy it was for Sumo to accept her love for him? It didn't take people telling her what is love or random hints being dropped from almighty himself. The realization came naturally and so did for Shravan after the trust wali terrace-jump. He, so easily went with it because that's what he needs, someone he can trust implicitly and we can see how Ramu is heading for major abandonment.
They exist for one another. Call it a mawkishly sentimental explanation but they were created with only one thought in mind that these two are supposed to be first and foremosts for each another. All the clichs be damned!
So that was me baring my heart after yesterday's episode. You guys would have already discussed this thousand times but I just couldn't stop myself! Being new sucks, I wish I started interacting since the forum was madeđ So from now on I will call my posts ButtonBeats as there will be many raining soonđ
