'We have pending business remember...'' Said Mihika

'Right...'' Said Raman

'We figured given we have been M.I.A for a while it was only right that we invited you in person. Product launch is next week and you all are invited given RKB is among the things we are launching. First Iyer Technology piece of business and all ...'' Said Priya her eyes still on Pratik who was just staring at her

'Are you just going to stare or will you say hello...'' She added and he utterly shocked said

'You are here...''

'Yes I am...'' She said smiling

'You are actually back...'' He said again

'Yes I am...'' She answered

He walked to where she was and just looked at her not saying a thing before he scoffed and turned picking his car keys as he walked out

'Pratik... Pratik wait... Pra ...'' Priya called him but he wouldn't listen

'Well that went well...'' She added sarcastically as she turned only for her eyes to fall on an equally pissed Romi

'Hey Romi...'' Said Mihika but he unlike Pratik was not going to hold back

'Am sorry you think we are just going to accept this and jump on your band wagon... Who the hell do you think you are that you think you can just waltz in here at will regardless or consequences...'' Said Romi who was just having misplaced anger

'Fair enough... Now, because of that everything from completing that website, fixing glitches is on us and we are also compensating you for the last month given what you lost due to halt in production...'' Said Mihika

'I just can't... ' Said Raman shaking his head

'Un-f**king believable...'' Said Romi

'Romi plea...'' Mihika began

'Uhh ah... You can't address me thatway. It isMr. Bhalla for you given this is a business call and all...'' Said Romi

'That is not...'' Mihika tried to explain herself but he wouldn't allow her talk

'The only reason we haven't gone over to another company is because...'' Romi began

'Clearly you do not understand the meaning of that word Ms. Mihika Raghav...'' Said Romi and at that point even Mihika could tell this fight had absolutely nothing to do with business

'Yeah about that I ...'' Mihika began but Raman cut her off

'Why isn't Ishita here...'' Raman asked bluntly

'Uhh she had some other things to take care of...'' Said Mihika

'So she is in India...'' Said Raman

'She was very busy today and had a few things to handle at the Alt...'' Mihika said and Raman interrupted

'So she is in Delhi...'' Said Raman and Mihika kept quiet for a second before she said

'Like I said she was busy...'' but Raman interrupted

'Of course she was... ' Said Raman scoffing

' But we are here representing her and I believe we can handle anything in her absence...'' Said Mihika

'You girls need to understand...'' Said Raman and Priya scoffed

'We girls... Seriously ' Priya murmured but Mihika held her hand

'RKB Fashions is my life. I gave a lot for it to be where it is so I need to know, as a matter of fact go back and tell your boss, if she wants to continue to work with me, she needs to show up and see me in person otherwise I am going to RIA Technologies. They seem more interested than she is...'' Said Raman frustrated

'Uhh Raman you can't do that...'' Said Priya

'Why the hell not? You all have been nowhere to be found for close to 2 months and now here you are like everything is alright and nothing changed. You are wrong to think I will just take it'' Said Raman

'We will deliver your concerns to her...'' Said Mihika who could understand his frustrations

''You tell her she owes me a meeting or tell her and I am taking everything on that website and I am walking over to RIA Technologies. She doesn't get to just walk in and out of my life the way she wants. Nobody does that to me or my company for that matter...''Said Raman frustrated and quite honestly hurt

'Okay I am confused... You are talking about business right because I am confused... Be very sure what exactly you're mad at Raman...'' Said Priya who wasn't holding back

'Priya... Come on...'' Said Mihika

'Okay what do you want in my house? If you wanted an appointment you should have called...'' He said and Priya looked at him for a second or two before she smiled

'We are truly sorry Sir and next time we will be sure to get an appointment...'' Said Priya sarcastically

'You show a lot of attitude for someone who has come to ask for help from my company...'' Said Raman

'Hmm no... no there seems to be some kind of misconception. Iyer Technologiesdoesn'tneed your company. We are just protecting our software... ' Priya began

'Priya... Seriously shut up...Let me handle this...'' Said Mihika

'Oh and FYI you are allowed to go to RIA. It is your choice. You have a constitutional right to do whatever you want with your company, as long as everything in that company is actually yours...We have lawyers too SIR'' Said Priya angrily

'What is your problem...'' Said Romi surprised at Priya's reaction

'Priya... Calm down...'' Said Mihika

'No... no... Hmm ... No...'' Said Priya as she walked in front of Raman

'Pratik has every right to be pissed Romi has every right to be pissed at Mihika but YOU... You do not get to be mad at her...'' She added

'Excuse me...'' Said Raman shocked

'You do not get to be mad at her let alone throw demands around like she is some kind of puppet for you...'' Said Priya

'Oh God...'' Said Mihika holding her head

'Priya that is not why we are here...'' she added

'I know... Stick to the plan, it is kind of hard when he acts like such a dick...'' Said Priya

'PRIYA...'' Shouted Mihika

'Fine...I am leaving anyway...'' Said Priya turning around

'How did all this turn around for you to be mad at me let alone my fault...'' Said Raman

'What the fu...'' Said Priya letting out an angry chuckle

'Let me get this straight you hire her, screw her and when she wasn't of importance to you, you threw her out like garbage...'' She added

'What...I didn't throw anyone out'' Said Raman completely confused

'Yeah keep on telling yourself that buddy...'' Said Priya

'Wait is that what she thinks...'' Raman said

'That is what everyone thinks... ' Said Priya shaking her head as she added

'You stood here and told her point blank she was nothing to you. Everyone in your family knew you two were a thing, but she should have known better... I mean I even stupidly encouraged her to go ahead and explore.''

'What the hell is happening right now...'' Said Raman

'I came to you Raman and I asked you in fact I begged you not to start something you were not willing to see through. You knew she was in love with you. Ishita wears her heart on her sleeve she is not that hard to read once you get to know her. You knew and yet you stood there and point blank told her there was no way you were going to allow anyone else other than your wife. She being Ishita quietly walked out of your life wanting to be the bigger person...'' Said Priya

'Priya please...'' Said Mihika as she realized that this was a bad idea coming here

'No... No let her say her piece, I need to figure out what is going on...'' Said Raman

'Two weeks Raman, it took you two weeks after Ishita left to somehow get over this supposed love you had for your wife and agree to marry someone else that wasn't her...'' Said Priya

'Hold on a minute...'' Said Raman still confused

'You led her on. I begged you Raman but you didn't care. You f**king led her on just because she didn't matter. Or maybe she did and that Iyer deal meant more than she did. Now that you got what you wanted and you know we are in a tight corner all of a sudden he is addressing us as 'YOU GIRLS' and looking down at us...'' Said Priya and if Raman had any doubt about how pissed they were, he was certain

'I swear I do not know what you are talking about...'' Said Raman frustrated

'Whatever Raman, you always have an excuse for everything...'' Said Priya looking at him before she added

'You know what is even more cowardly than anything is that you didn't have the balls to show up in person and tell her but rather you had to send your mother... how f**ked up is that...''

'Wha... What is going on'' Said Raman

'Oh for f**k's sake... You know what...You're not worth it and I honestly have no respect for you...'' Said Priya

'Okay we need to leave...'' Said Mihika

'Yeah I suggest you do that...'' Said Romi

Mihika knew this was going south and there was no way it was going to get any better because everyone seemed angry about one thing or the other and Raman playing dumb wasn't helping matters either. Priya turned walking out as she kept on cursing Raman and clearly showing him that she wasn't happy with what he did. The only problem was, he had no idea what they were talking about.

'I really am sorry Romi for the way I left...'' Said Mihika

'Whatever Mihika I don't care...'' Said Romi

'Okay...'' She said heartbroken as she turned walking out

'Mihika... What am I missing'' Said Raman

After the reading of the will she was very excited. She wanted to come see the kids but your mother showed up and told us about it and everything else fell apart from there. She wasn't doing so well. You broke her heart. No you broke her and Priya she is very protective if Ishu always has been... But I know it wasn't her place to talk to you like that so I apo ...'' Mihika began

'What are you talking about?'' Raman instead

'We know Raman... It is fine... They are angry right now but they will get over it because we need to work together. Ishita needs this for her first bug account as Iyer Technologies CEO. We have big plans for RKB Raman I promise you and we haven't been seated and doing nothing. It may seem like that because communication has not been so god given what has been happening but I swear to you, your company is going to be 2 times bigger than it was when we left... You have my word. So before you make any choices please give it some time.I will take this back to my bosses and we see how this goes...'' Said Mihika and Raman just stood there looking at her

'I will take my leave now...'' She added before she turned and walked out

CHAPTER SEVEN

This was not how it all supposed to fall down like this. It broke her heart, she didn't want it to end like this and the way Romi looked at her broke her inside. He was so angry and was filled with so much hate that every time she looked into his eyes she could see he wasn't the Romi she left behind. She began tearing up as she got to the car taking the back seat with Priya and they drove away. It was the most quite ride they had had in a very long time.

Back inside Raman wasn't letting go of whatever he had just heard that easily. These three were friends but they all had their own way of behaving. Priya was crazy but she was not that impulsive and unlike Ishita she never lashed out. Everything was a joke for her and lashing out was something that didn't happen so often. That reaction he had just witnessed from her wasn't normal and he knew it had to take a lot in her to react that way

'Maaa... Maaa ...'' Yelled Raman

'Raman calm down... Your kids are home...'' Said Romi as they walked out to the pool side

'Maa...'' Raman called her again ignoring Romi

'What... Why are you yelling'' Said Santosh

'What happened the week Ishita came back to India...'' Said Raman

'How am I supposed to know what she does when she is in India...'' Said Santosh

'I am not repeating myself... What happened'' Said Raman

'Nothing... I didn't even know she is in India'' Said Santosh

'The day of the reading of the will... I need to know what happened... Did you go and see her'' Raman asked again

'Ma...'' Said Romi who could tell she was stammering because she was lying

'She was accusing her of the thing at your company...'' Said Santosh

'Well... When police investigated we sort of found out that he had gotten access to our offices through Rinky... She was dating him or he was playing her... And by the way mom, Ishita didn't do this, I did... I found out, I asked her for the evidence which Mihika gave to me and that is why I handed it over to the police...'' Said Romi

I thought the police failed to solve that...'' Said Raman

'Well no when I found out about Rinky and him I knew you would go crazy and at that time Ishita had been away for about two weeks. Everything was horrible and you were having problems with the kids given Ishita's departure and I didn't want to disturb you. So I asked Rinky to end it with him and asked the police to end the investigation... I have no idea why mom thinks Ishita was involved in this...'' Said Romi

'First of all you really need to stop hiding things from me. Secondly stop covering up for Rinky all the time, you are only destroying her future and three, how the hell do you,'' Said Raman turning to his mom

'End up at Ishita's place and what did you tell them was happening...'' He added

'I thought it was Ishita pursuing this. Rinky told me that Ishita was accusing her of stealing something from her company... Talt... or Alt... Whatever and I wanted to give her a piece of my mind...Rinky was so hurt and she was crying and wasn't doing so well. I was upset and wanted her to humiliate her like she was doing to my baby'' Said Santosh

'Wait Rinky did what...'' Said Romi

'They were saying she was breaking in. She was arrested and taken to Delhi police. I bailed her out and Priya came to the police and dropped the charges after Simmi told them off...'' Said Santosh

'So hang on a minute... Even Simmi saw Ishita when she was here...'' Said Raman and Santosh kept quiet not denying it

'What did you do?'' Said Raman

'Well I went to see her of course. She humiliated my daughter, I was going to do the same...'' Said Santosh

'What in God's name are you doing here?'' Asked Ishita as she held the door

'I want to come in we need to talk...'' Said Santosh

'Who is it...'' Asked Mr. Kapoor who was inside?

'Lucifer...''SaidIshita

'Who...'' Said Mr. Kapoor

'Excuse me...'' Said Santosh but Ishita just shrugged her shoulders looking at Santosh

'Her former boss's mother...'' Said Bebe as she held the door opening it

'Please come in...'' Bebe added

'I didn't come here to chat so I will get straight to the point...'' Said Santosh looking around the room

'Okay...'' Said Mr. Kapoor as he stood up

'The girl the guards found at the Alt a month ago trying to break in...'' Said Ishita

'Mam, no one is accusing her here. She indeed did try and steal from her. Otherwise what was she doing there in the middle of the night trying to get in...'' He added

'Look Mrs. Bhalla, Rinky is spoilt and you really need to stop shielding her. It will really not be good for her. She has some really bad company and as a mother...'' Said Ishita but Santosh cut her off

'Do not talk about my daughter like you know her. I just came to say my piece so please allow me...'' Said Santosh and Ishita put her hands up a bit amused as she said

'Leave my family alone. You can try and be greater than thou because now you have some money but you are just a poor little characterless orphan girl with no manners and self-respect...'' Said Santosh

'Okay you need to leave before I lose my temper and trust me mine is worse than hers...'' Said Bebe angrily

'I will go... But before I leave, I need to tell you something or better yet why not just invite you... Raman finally decided to listen to me... He is getting engaged next week... ' Said Santosh smiled

'What...'' Said Ishita almost a whisper as tears began forming in her eyes

'He finally paid heed to my pleas and gave those children a mother. A proper woman who understands what motherhood, family and what a wife really means. You can't understand how glad I was when he told me he realized he was only passing time with all those women he was with and that he was finally deciding to settle down with someone mature... Here...'' Said Santosh as she removed an envelope in her bag

'That is your invitation. If you are still in town then maybe you will show up...Am sure the kids will be happy to share this day with you'' She added as she smiled at Ishita who had tears in her eyes

'I will take my leave now...'' She said before she walked out

'Why... Why would you do that? Who does that...'' Said Raman

'You need to realize that that woman...'' Said Santosh but a very pissed Raman said

'Ma... I am a grown man who has every right to do whatever I want with my life... I can see and fall in love with whomever I want...'' And as if in a realization he held his breath

'Wow... I believe that is the first time you have actually said that out loud... See what I meant... You were falling for her... She can't be the one who replaces Shagun...'' Said Santosh

'I wasn't looking for someone to replace Shagun. No one will ever do that... But I am allowed to move on... She is the one person I happen to actually like and my kidslike her... Who gave you the right to do that...'' SaidRaman

'You are my son and I will not sit back and watch you make a mess of your life...'' Said Santosh

That is my choice... Where did you even get that stupid invitation'' Said Raman

'I know a guy...'' Said Santosh carelessly

'Who are you right now...'' Said Romi who was equally as shocked

'You are not understanding where I am coming from. I did this such that I save you from making a horrible decision. That girl first of all is so young and she still has her whole life a head of her. You realize she is almost the same age as Rinky? How can you expect her to even understand the responsibility of being a mother? What if she wants kids, do you still want kids? What if instead of staying at home on a Friday night because Ruhi has a cold, she opts to go out on a night because it is what girls of her age do? She is a whole decade younger than you Raman, you need to start thinking your head rather than with your hormones...'' Said Santosh

'I swear talking to you is like talking to a wall...'' Said Raman shaking his head as he walked back into the house and unfortunately or fortunately Rinky came walking in and ended up in a fine she never intended to be in

'Hey guys...'' Said Rinky

'What the hell were you doing at the Alt when you got arrested...'' Said Raman

'Oh hello to you to...'' Said Rinky as she looked at her brother

'What were you doing there? And weren't you supposed to be in school then? Why were you breaking into people's businesses...'' Said Romi

'Oh God this is about that rich brat isn't it... I swear it feels like I am always answering one question or the other being blamed for something Ishita related...'' Said Rinky as she tried to walk away but Romi pulled her back accidentally unzipping her bag.

Everything that was in there completely got scattered on the floor. There were clothes, ballet shoes, a couple of photos, a resume and the one thing that grabbed Romi's attention the most was the bottle of pills that came rolling out of the bag. Rinky tried to get a hold of her stuff and put them back but Romi had already seen them and so he beat her to it. Raman took ahold of her bag and poured anything else in it on the table much to the shock of her brother and mom when two other boxes fell out.

"What is this?" asked Romi

"Give me back my stuff..."Said Rinky as she tried to pull them back Romi would not let her

"You need tostart explaining what the hell this is before I lose my temper..." Said Romi

"You are supposed to be in school retaking an economics paper. Why do you seem like you are not coming from there?"Said Raman but she kept quiet

''Start talking before I lose it... '' Said Romi but instead Rinky began to cry as she went and stood next to her mother

'Romi... Just calm down... Let her...'' Santosh began

'Mama, stay out of this... You start talking...'' Said Romi
