Hey!!
I had been hearing a lot about K-drama's and completed my first drama-Boys Over Flowers within 3 days.šŸ˜† However, BOF's ending gave me a massive heartachešŸ¤” kind of uneasy feeling and I feel so sad now. šŸ˜” I can't stop thinking about Jun-Pyo and Jandi, because of which whenever I listen to BOF songs(I love their songs) I get emotional.🄺 Do all K-drama's give you that kind of feeling or was it because BOF had open ending? I really want to watch more K-drama's, but I stop myself because of this uneasy feeling. šŸ˜† I know this is a stupid post, but I had to let it out somewhere.šŸ˜†
Btw I am in love with Lee-Minhoā¤ļø

Hi. Welcome to the world of K-dramas. BOF is based on a manga and Jun Pyo and Jan Di do end up together, so I wouldn't really call it an open ending. Maybe, it was a little cryptic.šŸ˜† The best thing about K-dramas is that they're short, and once you start watching them regularly...they become a part of life and you'll move on from one drama to the next. Some dramas are harder to let go than others, but you can always rewatch. 😃

Hi. :) It was cryptic for sure. šŸ˜† I've just finished watching Personal Taste and it was whole lot better than BOF in terms of it's storytelling. <3 Second lead just makes everything confusing.(I may be suffering from second lead syndrome. šŸ˜†) I was going to watch The Heirs, but read somewhere that it has second lead as well. Have you watched it?
Btw, I am Kaetki. :) What's you name? :)

Hi Kaetki, anyeo... welcome to the K-D world
Suffering from liking of 2nd male lead syndrome is too common for us, drama fangirls... and hating the 2nd female lead is another common syndrome

BOF is unforgettable as its the 1st one for almost all but after watching few other dramas you can easily say that BOF isn't your fav...

Here comes my recommendations,
1.Coffee Prince (best gender bender)
2.The King 2 Hearts (view into north & south Korean dispute)
3.Healer & City Hunter (male leads rock)
4.Arang & the Magistrate (sageuk drama)
5.The Greatest Love (how K-entertainment works)
6.The Gentleman's Dignity (4 men in their 40's)
7.Reply 1997, 1994, 1988 (reel back to life then in Korea)
8.Shut Up Flower Boy Band (how a band works)
9.Secret Garden (best chaebol drama)
10.My Love From The Star (female lead rocks)

These are carefully picked for you (who is new here)...

Hello welcome to kdrama land... And from my own experience I would like to tell you that once you start it there is noo going back..šŸ˜†
About BoF I may be in the minority ones who couldn't stand to finish it... šŸ˜†
I preferred personal taste over BoF I gave up BoF after 10 episodes... But that's just my view coz I know most of my Friends who are crazy over it even today...
And I love lee min ho too ( well most of the people who watch kdramas do...) but IMO his best is city hunter do make sure to catch up that drama... You'll end up liking him more...
And other dramas you can try are:

Coffee prince
My love from the stars
City hunter
Pinocchio
I hear your voice
Kill me heal me
Secret Garden
Healer

Yup, BOF isn't good in terms of screenplay. It has it's moments but it drags a lot, especially in the second half...and has a lot of unnecessary scenes. BOF has two other versions though, which were made before this one. You can try the Japanese version, Hana Yori Dango. It has a tighter script and the acting is good. It might seem a little dark at first...but it gets better. F4 isn't as hot, but they're fun. šŸ˜†

There is a Taiwanese version too, which is the oldest. I never finished it because I found it very slow ( or maybe I just didn't enjoy the same story the third time around)...but many people to enjoy it.

Second lead syndrome is a part and parcel of KdramasšŸ˜†...You'll get in almost every show with a second lead...and there are many.šŸ˜› Heirs has a second lead too and he's awesome. But a lot of people disliked Heirs overall...I don't hate it but I got really bored watching it. I loved the second lead and some of the supporting characters...that's all.
It's very similar to BOF and also reminds you of Gossip girls from time to time. But you can still try it for the second lead...he's worth it...and third lead pair is cute too.

I am Fari. 😊

Hi, welcome to the forum and K-drama land..
I love Lee Min Ho in BoF.. esp his hair style.. my personal fvt dramas of LMH are Personal Taste and Faith.. I got bored with BoF after watching those mood swings of JanDi.. and how she keeps getting confused between junPyo and second lead..
plus, towards the end it was too much dramatic for me.. that memory loss track should not have been there.. not at all...

if you want some sugg.. you can check out my thread...
http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4564925

I also started watching kdrama a few months back only.. i created a list of all dramas i watched and posted 1-2 liner reviews of each of them,...
may be, you can take a look and see if you find anything interesting...

i updated it last in May first week.. so i need to add some more dramas that I watched..
