Ranbir Kapoor is adorable, he has amazing sense of humour: Aishwarya

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was last seen in Sarbjit, is looking forward to her next, which is directed by Karan Johar. The actor says they intended to work together on projects in the past, but things didn't work out. "Karan often told me, You are meant to be in my film.' It didn't happen all these years. Finally, we are working together," says Aishwarya.

The actor reveals that Karan first approached her with a role while he was making his debut film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). "I couldn't do the movie because I was shooting for Aa Ab Laut Chalen (AALC; 1999). I was on a 40-day schedule in the US. It was Chintu uncle's (Rishi Kapoor; actor) first film as a director. I'm a fan of his, and I looked up to him. I just couldn't mess things up with him," she says.

Karan also approached Aishwarya for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), but things didn't work out. "He narrated the story and told me about the character, but we didn't end up working together. We almost worked on another movie, but that too didn't take off. He narrates stories of most of his films to me... he is family. After hearing this script, both of us smiled. It was special," says the actor.

Karan's film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, and Aishwarya was happy to have him on the sets. "I met Ranbir on the sets after many years. He is adorable. He was assisting Chintu uncle on AALC. Now we are working together. We got along like a house on fire. He has an amazing sense of humour."
