A great way to show the inherent difference between the two. I love the way you have etched the characters, seamlessly shifting between the past and the present, unveiling aspects of them slowly. The snippets you weave in the narrative have so often made me go "Ah, that's why ...".

There's so much that appears to have happened which made the confident, determined Khushi of the past into this shattered version of today. I'm eager to know more. And to know what will ultimately be the "saving grace" in their life.

Your interesting user name and title made me click on your story. And am I glad I did :)

PS - Boyce Avenue's cover version of U2's classic With or Without you, is good. I hadn't heard it before.
