I could go on and on about the Devakshi Scenes like always, but this post is for Ishwari and Dev.
Have been noticing in the last few episodes, Ishwari's conversation with any family member highlights what traits of Dev she is proud of.
"Dev kabhi khud ka soch ke koi faisla nahi leta, uske liye humesha pariwar zyada ahmeeyat rakhta hai."
"Beta, ghar par bhi office?"
"Beta khud ke liye samay nikalna seekh"
"Mera dev hai hi aisa"
and the conviction with which she was saying that Dev loves her the most.
She is absolutely right. Dev does love Ishwari the most.
But, will Ishwari accept that Dev is equally in love with someone, someone who will have Dev's equal attention? Or maybe more?
She said Dev never thinks about himself, But he has, for the first time taken a decision for himself. He is very well aware of it, he said
'Iske pehle apne liye kuch chaha hi nahi. .I need you for myself' (☺️) to Sona.
He has not given a damn about business and the consequences his family may face, for instance Neha.
Opposite to what Ishwari said.
Ishwari thinks all her son can think about is Office.. He comes early for office or family. Dev came early, skipped his work for neither of them. He came for Sona. Totally opposite again.
Ishwari knows her son wont think about himself, does not take out time for himself. Now, he is cancelling appointments and meetings, for no one but himself. He is taking out time for Sona, to drop her home, to spend time with her. Again quite different from what Ishwari thinks.
Ishwari thinks she knows Dev in and out. She is proud of him. Whenever she says anything about his habits, she says she wants them to change, but she is infact proud of it. She is proud that for her son, only responsibilities are a priority.
Like Neha was deprived of opportunites, I believe Dev was majorly deprived of his own childhood. His mother is guilty about that too. Now, she knows that this missing puzzle piece of his life is going to complete him. She will be happy, but insecure because she could do that to him. She could not bring out that inner bliss to him.
Am I even making sense here?😆
Dev has never been in love. He has been smiling, humming songs, skipping work..all that he has never done before ever since he has realised his love.
Dev is a changed man now, No! Like Dev said,
"Mai badal raha hu, nahi uske saath mai mai hota hu."
This is what real Dev is. Passionate, Jolly, Caring, charming. His family hasn't seen this side of him before. That Dev is workaholic, Aubhodro, inconsiderate...but He is more of a guy overladen with responsibilities. Obviously, he has never complained. Why would he? He loves his family so much, he can go to any extent for them.
But still, all of this plus what he is with Sona is the Real Dev.
A new shade of Mr. Dev.
Like the title song says
"Dekhe kabhi wo rang jo, kabhi na miley. .Kuch rang pyaar ke aise bhi"
He never saw these colours of Love. Never has he experienced this.
Like someone pointed out, PH have deliberately shifted focus to Dev's feelings. How he is passionate for Sona, how he craves her presence, how he is happy. Unless, they show the contrast of his personality in Sona's presence, how will they highlight the importance of this rang in his life.
What I think Ishwari's main problem will be is this new shade of Dev. She thought she knows him. Now all of a sudden, he looks changed.
Not for her, but a new girl. A girl who will be an integral part of his life. So much so, that Ishwari will feel that she is replaced. She will not think Sonakshi is not right for Dev, for she leaves that decision to him. But, more because Sona is that girl who can bring to Dev, what she could not.
In my opinion, It is wrong on her part to expect Dev to not live for himself. Dev has always been about his family, but this Dev, who is thinking about himself now, will not go well with Ishwari.
It is not wrong to be selfish sometimes, Is it?😳😳
