'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa...' finalists go glam

S Chattopadhyay

Designer duo Ashima-Leena of Delhi and Anita Dongre of Mumbai have been roped in to design the clothes for the 18 contestants of Zee's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005'.

The participants are battling it out in the third phase now. The designers have worked on a contemporary look for the contestants keeping their tastes, preferences, superstitions and comfort in mind.

"We always thought that the clothes should not overshadow the talent", confides Leena of the Ashima-Leena brand.

While Ashima - Leena have designed salwar kurtis in earthy colours with embroidery and sequins work for the girls and ethnic sherwanis for the boys, Anita Dongre has planned trendy skirts and tops for the girls and ethnic churidar kurtas for the boys.
