FF 2016 best actress, Sonam or Alia, stronger chance??

Since PC, Depad and KR dont have releases this year.

Plus Sonam gave her best performance in Neerja and Alia is getting good reviews (I have not seen UP, will watch tommrow). So who has the chance to win Film Fare best actress?

There is also Kahaani 2, but I think that movie will under achieve at BO, and they will give Critics award to Vidya.

Also Sonakshi has an outside chance, although she has to give performance of life time.

Sonam winning will be a low for Bollywood. Out of the 4-5 actors in neerja, she was the weakest. It was an overall poor performance.

Neerja is as much as Shabana's film as her's, only Sonam had more screenspace. Shabana completely owned the film with her matchless talent.

I voted Sonam because she managed to shine in Neerja and people who knew Neerja (family, classmates and colleagues) were also impressed by her performance as it reminded them of the late-Neerja.

Had her performance been as bad as you're saying it is Neerja would have sank like Sarabjit and not been the super hit it is. Because like you pointed it out, Sonam had the most screenspace thus the movie was mostly about her.

Then again, you're free to say she doesn't deserve it but don't say that her winning would be a low as it isn't true.

Lol I see Sonam fans repeating 'hailed by critics' every now and then. I can literally paste some reviews which have criticized and called her the weakest link. The reason Neerja worked was because of the film and story itself, Sonam's performance has nothing much to do with it. Sarbjit was a considered as a weaker film by many, hence it failed and the wom wasn't very good. I watched the film and must say Ash is actually far better than Sonam, that despite not being a great performance and yes her role was also 50 times tougher. Sonam was just wishy washy for me. Yeah, that is my opinion.

There is also Sridevi with her comeback film "Mom" and Vidya for Kahaani 2

From the list I watched both film and both girls were at there best but Alia performance was better than Sonam imo.

Wow DP n KR have no release this year?

Alia, Sona and Sonam have a great opportunity to not only win awards but also stronger their positions. Especially Alia.

Deepika should have had a release this year. At such a crucial stage, it's going to be a big blow unless she grabs eyeballs in xXx.
