Hey! This is my very first attempt for this... Hope you guys like it.Please read and review!😳
The Musical Magician
Radhika walked into the gate, huffing, puffing and all sweaty. She held onto the bars of the Black Iron Gate to Vrindavan University.
"Huff... Pufff... Just... Huh... A few steps more, do it Radha", she mumbled to herself.
The Vrindavan University was a centre of culture, dance and all sorts of Artistic Activities. The University was spread on the fresh pastures of Vrindavan. Surrounded by lush green lawns, it was a perfect place of Solace and Music. It had high stone walls, and typical Indian Architecture. Huge ceilings, intricate carving and refreshing fountains, it was also known for its various Amphitheatres.
Students who specialised in Musical courses sought admission here. So did Radhika. And presently, she was hell late for her very first music class in the second year.
The steps seemed endless as she rushed towards the highest amphitheater of the Campus. She felt climbing steps was more difficult than dancing to the fastest beat of music. Radhika was the Lead Dancer of the Official University Dance Group. They had a small band of their own where Musicians, Dancers collaborated for a huge event every year. And it was just the rehearsal time for another Grand Event.
She took a few steps, till her legs gave way.
"Didn't you know it takes whole of 15 minutes to climb this mini mountain...? But still! Getting late to the very first class", she felt pissed off with herself.
She looked back at the huge pile of steps left behind. "Just a few more"
Then and there, she spotted someone at the very base of the staircase. She narrowed her eyes to know it was Krishh, Krishh Yadav from Gokul. Her most lovable yet most annoying friend on the Campus, these two were almost inseparable. And the banter they caused together... Even the teachers were left wondering sometimes!
She grinned at him. She was late but presently, someone else was even behind her, in following the schedule.
"Krishh!".She waved at him.
He looked up to her. His eyes did wince in the hot sun, but the eternal glow of his deep, dark face was still evident. He waved back at her.
"Radhe!"
"Don't call me that!". She always was displeased when he did that.
"I will"
"No, you won't"
"Uff! I'm late!", she remembered. Krishh always managed to grab all her attention. There was something so charming about him.
"And Krishh, you're late!!!", she chuckled.
She was back to climbing the remaining ones... Only one thought in mind - she wasn't the last one.
Finally, as she leapt through the last stair, it felt so victorious. Smiling and all rosy with heat, she went and joined the class, which had begun.
"Radhika!", came a screeching squeal. "You're late! Rather you're last today". Radhika felt her eyes narrowing on her.
"Ma'am, I'm afraid I'm NOT the last. Krishh is."
"Ohh really? Krishh!"
"Yes ma'am!". But wait, that was Krishh's voice. She could see his tall, thin yet mesmerising form appear from behind the teacher.
If anyone would've seen Radhika, he could see her mouth open and eyes literally hanging out.
Krishh winked at her shyly.
"How did he just do that???!!!", Radhika's mind was alarming at the moment.
"So, thirty minutes stay back in the Hall after rehearsal, Ms. Radhika Tiwari", announced the teacher.
"Better luck next time!", he mumbled to her.
Radhika quickly tied her Ghungroos, without wasting a second, while Krishh checked his flute.
"One, two three, start!", barked the teacher. At once, the drums started banging, the piano started breathing beautiful tones. But it all seemed so ordinary, until Krishh breathed air into the Flute.
A silence floated through the air and a hush fell over everyone. The other band mates seemed to be losing control over their instruments as they started slipping into Krishh's dream world.
But Radhika, she was already into it!!
Her feet involuntarily began to sync in with His beats.
"Ta-ta Thai Kran Dhaa Tak Dhaa..."
It was a different world altogether that their music created. The teacher herself was so lost that she indeed forgot to breathe.
In the last Aalaap, the notes touched the highest pitch and the speed increased. Round and Round went Radhika, lost in herself. High and High and high went Krishh, feeling so content.
As the last beat blew off with grace, Krishh removed the flute from his tender lips. The world breathed again. The teacher removed her large handkerchief and dabbed it against her moist eyes.
"Brilliant! Flawless!"
THEY always managed to do that, ALWAYS.
After more of specific step practices, at around One o clock, the session was called off for the day.
"Tomorrow, here at sharp 10"
Radhika, at this very instant, looked down and slid behind Krishh. "Please... Please", she mumbled under her breath.
"Radhika!! Your detention, I remember!", screeched the Madam.
Sigh! Bad luck.
She took her bag and entered the Hall. It was quite dark and very cool.
As he wore her Ghungroos, its echoes banged loud against the empty walls.
She switched on the spot light and took a deep breath.
But it was quite creepy in, there.
Suddenly, a gush of warmth filled in her. It was Krishh entering the Hall.
"You cheat!", she was cross with him.
"A frown doesn't suit your face, Radhe", said His deep, husky voice, with little emphasis on the last word.
"Hmph!", she turned around.
"Radhe!", he clutched her hand. Current flowed across her body and this gave her all feels. She blushed involuntarily.
"I'm sorry Radhe, but I just can't! These punishments bore me"
Radhika bit her lip. She was being linient to Him?
Regaining her anger, "Now what I'm to do?"
"What you always do, my love. Dance!"
He pressed his lotus like lips to his flute and began yet another great saga of music. Half an hour well past by, as Both of them were lost in solitude.
To Him, she was more graceful than the most beautiful Apsaraa. He often wondered that what Lord Indra had was a mere illusion.
To her, He was everything -- her friend, her soul and Music Itself, personified.
After the detention, as they left the Hall, Radhika asked:
"So, why did you do this? I'm sure my cycle didn't think of getting punctured itself".
He blushed. She always caught him. Well, He always wanted her to catch Him.
"Because I wanted to see you dance, alone"
"Fancy you!"
As they crossed the building, Radhika winced as the harsh sunlight fell on her.
"Krishh! "
"Here, Radhe". He looked up at the clouds. Almost immediately, a dense blanket shielded them from the Sun.
"Better, there", as they walked away to their boarding. Another eventful day with Krishh's Magic was coming to an end.
PS: Hope it was entertaining enough.😛😉
