I'm so sorry for the late update. I had internet issues before and also Ramadan started so I was a bit busy. But now I'm back and I promise you all that we both will update more frequently <3

||Chapter 5||

Arnav stormed out of office, without informing anyone. His friends tried to stop him but they failed. Arnav drove through the city like a maniac to divert his mind. The secret he had tried to hide for a while now was out! Arnav never wanted sympathy from anyone and that's what he got today from his friends. And this secret was out because of that girl! He was sure, that she just wanted to take revenge from him because he had insulted her the other day when she was at their house.

But why? Why the hell did his sister share his dark past with her? Arnav knew it for a fact that it was Anjali who told her about this. He went back home as he wanted to know some answers.

Arnav's voice echoed through the house. Anjali ran down the stairs. She was somewhat ready for this as Khushi had informed her about the office fiasco.

"Chotey.. " Anjali was scared to utter a word. "Why did you tell her everything?" He asked in a low tone. "Chotey.. I.. I just want you to get what you deserve. Justice! Don't you want that Sheetal to pay for her deeds?" Anjali asked in hopes that Arnav will give in but alas!

"No!" Arnav shouted which scared Anjali. She was appalled to see this side of her brother's. He was such a calm person but that one fateful incident changed him for the worst. "Chotey, Khushi and her brother wants to help us." Anjali tried to explain but Arnav was adamant on his decision.

"Di why? Why do you want to open old wounds again? And you didn't even bother to ask me before telling that Khushi everything. Di, I don't want justice because no one will ever believe me. They all will take Sheetal's side. Can't we just forget it and move on?" Arnav tried his level best to explain Anjali but if he was stubborn then so was Anjali.

"Fine Chotey. I won't say anything else if you can answer my question. Can you forget that incident and move on in life?" Anjali asked him and Arnav could just stand there and stare at his sister.

Anjali knew his answer so continued. "Chotey! Don't you trust your sister? Do you think I'll do anything that won't be in your favor? Trust me, Khushi's the only one who can help you out."

"I think a no means a no! I won't change my decision.

And Anjali's leftover hopes went down the drain.

Next day

"Khushi, Arnav just won't listen to me. He's mad at me for sharing his past with you both and now he's not even talking to me properly. But you know what it I can't blame him for this. It's my fault actually. I should have respected his decision." Anjali couldn't figure out what to do. "I think we should drop this case. I don't want to hurt my brother anymore." Anjali finally said it. She desperately wanted her brother to get justice but not at the cost of losing him forever.

This shocked the brother and sister duo.

"Anjali, what are you saying? You can't let that Sheetal escape." Shyam tried to explain her but Khushi remained silent. After her and Arnav's confrontation she kept on dwelling about it. They want him to get justice but he is scared that because of him, his family has to bear the taunts of the society.

It's a fact, no one really believes that a guy can get raped and a girl can stoop this low. Even the law will support the girl so Arnav's fear is justified.

"Khushi why aren't you saying anything?" Shyam asked her. "Bhai, if we think from Arnav's point of view then it all makes as to why he doesn't want to fight this case. He knows that no will believe him and his reputation will be tarnished. And that Sheetal is damn cunning. She might file a rape case on Arnav. He's the one who has to suffer at the end." Khushi tried to explain Shyam. He was quite surprised to hear all this from Khushi.

Is she giving up on this case?

"I know what you are thinking, Bhai. I won't give up. But we have to make Arnav understand that if he lets Sheetal get away with it then this incident will happen again. Now we don't want another victim right? We have to assure him that he will get justice or else I don't think he will ever agree to this."

Khushi explained both of them.

"I think Khushi is right, Shyam ji." Anjali added. "Yes, I agree but you both have to understand the fact that this incident is a month old. It's not something that has happened recently and we can find proof right away. This case won't be an easy one thus Arnav has to take his decision quickly."

Arnav had taken a day off from his work today. He really wanted to get his life back together. His life was like scrambled pieces of puzzle.

"I think it's high time! I should let it go maybe!" Arnav said it out loud still unsure whether he could let it go or not.

"And you want someone else to suffer? Wow Arnav you seem to be a bit selfish." A guy said and walked in. That startled Arnav.

He had suffered the most and this stranger straight up called him selfish.

"Who the hell are you?" Arnav was clearly irritated by this person's presence.

"Oh how rude of me! Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Hello! I'm Shyam. Shyam Gupta. Your lawyer." Shyam said while Khushi and Anjali entered the room.

Hell was gonna break loose today for sure!

fantastic part.. can understand what Arnav is going through.. lets see how does Khushi, shyam and anjali makes him understand that it will be for his good that he should fight out the case against sheetal.. loved the update..
