When the name Kamya Punjabi comes up, one automatically assumes her to be playing a vamp or a negative character. And Kamya has, in fact, played a majority of negative shades in her decade-long career.
As reported earlier, Kamya will soon be entering Colors' Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, as Vivian Dsena 's mother. The actress will play a typical Punjabi mother who dotes on her son, but if need be, she will go to any lengths to protect her son from anything bad.
Speaking about her show, she said,"Colors has always brought out good shows. And the star cast of my show Shakti, is fabulous. Sudesh Berry plays my husband, then there is Reena Kapoor, Ayub Khan , Vivian Dsena . Vivian is a full-on masti-khor. It is fun shooting with him."
As for playing a mother to Vivian Dsena ,"I am a lalchi actor. And acting ke field mein lalach buri bala nahi hai . Luckily, I have always been offered important characters and all that I am looking for is brilliant work satisfaction."
Looks like Kamya is getting what she wants.
