Last week, Sahara One's Jhoom India saw the elimination of telly actor Sharad Kelkar.
But even though the actor says there are no hard feelings, his comments certainly don't go with the thought. "I was not happy with the format of the show and yes, I'm upset with the judges, not because they gave low marks to me, but because they were giving high marks to those who were not singing well," he says.
Sharad, who's been singing since his college days and has won many awards, explains that there had been problems ever since the show started.
"I came to this show not because I wanted fame or money, but because I had a genuine interest in singing. But Vaishali Samant, my partner in the show, was very depressed because we weren't getting good marks, so we started singing safe songs. That just resulted in the judges calling me a safe singer. I didn't come here to get bad comments or be dubbed a safe singer. Maybe they just didn't like my voice!" he says with a smile. Sharad says that he doesn't want to get into politics or play dirty games to stay in the show. "As for now, I'm just rehearsing for the wild card entry. Vaishali is going out of town for a few days so we have already rehearsed the song. Let's see if luck is on my side this time," he adds.
On the acting front, Sharad's happy doing Saat Phere. But ask him why we haven't really heard any controversies about him and he laughs, "That's because I love my work and my wife. Controversies arise when you fall out of love with either one of them!"
