It has been 3 months since the show Kasam has begun and a highly prestigious award is already in its kitty! Yes, it is true. Sharad Malhotra and Kratika Sengar won the Best Popular Jodi Award at the 9th Boroplus Zee Gold Awards held yesterday (9th June). Not only that, the duo even performed on the soulful 'Janam Janam' at the event. It is definitely a feather on their cap, for garnering praises for their performances in such a short span of time. Well-deserved!

Sharad, elated on his achievement, shared a post on Instagram. He wrote, "Gold awards'16...Thank u @ekmainaurektu7 for trusting me with this awesome character called ."Rishi Singh bedi "Dedicated to all Kasam Fans...lotsa love."



Kratika, also shared her excitement on Instagram and thanked her hubby Nikitin Dheer for the support. She wrote "@nikitindheer thanku so much for being my real life jodi n presenting us da award for best Jodi on TV... Thanku #goldawards nd thankuu to my entire cast for being so loving."

Sharad plays the role of Rishi Bedi and Kratika Sengar plays Tanu, his love interest in the show. The story is set against the backdrop of Punjab. It is the pure love story of Rishi and Tanu. Soon, a tragedy will hit their lives, when Tanu dies leaving Rishi in despair. But, Tanu will be reborn which completes their love story.


In the earlier episodes, the character Tanu was about to die, but, owing to the popularity of their love track and their chemistry, even Tanu's death track was postponed. Kasam, produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms is gradually becoming popular among the audiences. We would like to wish the more success to the show!
