Yeah, I loved the promos where Anokhi says that money is an overwhelming factor in her decisions, trumping intangibles like pyaar, sanskaar, faith, et al (didn't like the one about people worshiping Lakshmi more than Saraswati). And at least from this week's episodes, she doesn't seem to be a sanskari at all 😆

I didn't think so - it started w/ the wedding of the son w/ Anokhi's best friend, and gave an opportunity to showcase her, her family and their struggles. Her dad is a struggling insurance salesman, and really gets the third degree from his wife. Which underlines Anokhi's and her mom's concern - to make money a central issue in her marriage whenever that happens.

Yeah, Dadaji's character - him scolding the maid rather than tending to his grandson when the latter cuts himself accidentally - makes him look totally cruel. Also, who was the girl in a wheelchair, who accidentally threw the peeling knife into the trash, and Kamala had to go scurrying for it?

It looks very consistent. In the promos, she was shown as putting money above all else, and here, she looked like she is happy to take the expedient way out. Like when she stumbles upon Nikita's ring, when she talks the newly hired accountant into taking a fictitious job nowhere, when she cringes at the sight of her office room. Only that she is kind hearted - gives a street beggar her ice cream (actually, she need not have - kids shouldn't take food from strangers)

I was wondering about that myself. It was obviously static, like when you sometimes touch people and they get a shock, but you need really dry weather for that, and it typically happens in houses w/ carpeted floors. Is it that dry in Delhi?
