Yes I did, how do you feel about the Black Hermione controversy? Honestly, I'm kinda mixed on it. On one hand, I'm kinda glad that we're finally moving away from white washing every character but then again, Hermione's character is already so well established it's difficult for me to picture a whole different race for her character, you know. Initally i was very conflicted because despite reading the books first and the eventual face that has stuck with me has been of emma watson and she is through and through white but it makes a lot of sense to have a color person play Hermoine especially since race of none of the characters is ever mentioned in the bok. it's just assumed that by casting of the children int he movies that the race is white.

since i've alreay preordered the book, i think i'll have that image of watson as heroine retained but i don't mind a black actress playing hermoine. i'm more miffed abut ginny's caricature overlooked in revealing the details about cast. i hope her character gets good space this time.
