no idea about other karan johar best would be kabhi avida na kehna, kal ho na ho, k3g or kuch kuch.. But his kal ho na ho title track stand out

Karan Johar's albums is a bit too kitschy and age very badly. "But he's your best friend yaaa" anyone? His best is probably Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali - his albums are all stunning excellent masterpieces (excluding Guzaarish + Saawariya). His very best are Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam/Devdas/Bajirao Mastani. It's too hard to chose one. Maybe Devdas. The musical layers are full of classical otherworldliness realnesses.

Ashutosh Gowariker - I know I'm in the minority but for me his best soundtrack is What's Your Raashee? - 11/13 tracks are absolutely wonderful (the intro and outro are just good). Highlights: "Pyaari Pyaari", "Bikhri Bikhri", "Jao Na", "Su Chhe" + "Koi Jaane Na".

Imtiaz Ali - his albums are the best. Absolutely kick-ass. Love Aaj Kal/Rockstar/Highway/Tamasha are wonderful. I'd say the best is probably Rockstar.
