But I am surprised at the response the story is getting. This is the only serial that portrays incidents close to reality although exaggerated and twisted. The characters are loosely penned and their reactions totally unpredictable for which the writers are to be blamed. But I am surprised at how many young women out here prefer sugar dripping characters who are almost distasteful to watch on screen. Grey shades of a character is simply not accepted even in this age. Naira's character has been labelled as ghamandi, disrespectful so on and so forth. I am not justifying her nor her reactions to her family especially her mother. but that's who she was with a troubled teenage and wrong company. I am sure all of us remember our teens when we got angry for no reason, threw tantrums, always demanded attention etc.
Mothers have irreplaceable positions in our lives. It was during this time that naira fell into wrong company and dangerous situations. She felt that she couldn't open up to her mom, feeling short of her mahanta'. Although she had the rest of her family, there was this constant fear of approaching anyone with her problems as they would refer her to their family doctor- her mother.
This is where akshara failed to build a relation with her daughter. She was way too tangled up with other family matters and pleasing so many useless people. You don't have to solve everyone's problems. And the main cause of naira's hatred - her mom bringing police. The girl is still paranoid by police sirens and how will she forget her mother's stance then.
Naitik has his eyes blinded in his daughter's love. He has ignored his wife's suffering, blaming her for something that she has unknowingly done. But this is the truth, most fathers blame the mother though not always verbally but suggestively if something goes wrong with the children.
I absolutely love the cast and enjoy their stellar performances esp- the core cast. Sometimes I wonder how the actors agree to go through the trashy script their given. Ah well at the end of the day it is still a tv show.
That was my take on this track, just my opinion.
