Shagun was the same woman who went to Australia and stayed back bec Pihu said she saw har wali Aunty or something to that effect and that set her thinking and she continued to stay even after Pihu returned to find out if it was Ishita. And was shown doing quite a lot of research .
Ok Raman offered her marriage which meant security for her specially in context of Ishita being alive
But surely a seasoned woman like Shagun cannot believe that a man like Raman will become hers bec of a marriage certificate . He would be fair to her and not let her want for anything with or without marriage. Her love for Pihu is justified. But her indifference towards Ruhi being alive or not is not possible.- even if it means she will lose Raman
Her decision to marry overnight. Not listen to the pleas of Adi and Toshijee etc and her reaction to the revelation that Nidhi is alive are very weak hinges to hold the plot because she is a matured woman and that portrayal should not be compromised .
A woman whose character has been redeveloped to reach this level should not be destroyed so summarily. It smacks of immaturity and simplistic thinking on the part of the cvs
Her sorrow is pitiable which she expresses in front of Mihir but totally misplaced from point of view of the way other events are shaping
Shagun who joined an NGO, turned a new leaf, sacrificed her new love life with Paul, carried Ishita's child to repay Ishita for all her wrongs, and without asking for any attention from Raman lived nicely with the Bhallas and learnt to love Pihu as her ownTrying to make up all the omissions she had committed in Ruhi's case and bring some semblances of sanity into the household which had lost Ishita and Ruhi for the past seven years cannot be painted black in half an episode
A better treatment if her charcuterie was required- lack of imagination on part of cvs
