oooohh...i think the inconsistency in the judges could mean that many excellent contestants being eliminated. since the judges have different methods about them, i do think they should have Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasiya and Shivkumar Sharma as the judges through and through. they are a very positive and experienced pair. i like them

Yes, ma'am, we don't get Sony in HK. I never saw a single episode of Fame Gurukul and really don't know who Qazi is.

Qazi is this incredible guy from Fame gurukul.....in FG after the weekly gala performance four contestants are put in danger by the judges (shankar mahadevan, Javed akhtar and KK). The faculty (teachers of the gurukul) save one contestant and then the three remaining are left at the mercy of audience (voting) and QAZI has been in that danger zone for record ten times. He has got, i think around 2 crore votes over this period and has been a darling of the masses. The reason why it is incredible is also because he is an untrained singer, whereas the others mostly are trained...........he has been besura lot of times (frankly, he was a bad singer but i must add that he has improved a lot- he is a great performer) and all the other contestants dislike his being there in the top three. (we will know the fame jodi this week).

I spoke to Gajendra over the weekend (He is my relative) and mentioned the same thing. He said it was very difficult to find good music gurus who are willing to come to this show (Time/Schedule/Apprehension and other things). And the only reason for seating Pt Jasraj and Mehandi was to not outshadow any of the things required for modern "Successful" singing. Successful being the keyword there.

Pt. Jasraj ji is in the heights of classical but we dont want totally classical people in the playback singing. So bringing in and seating a successful pop singer like Daler just compliments the judgement.

And at the end he mentioned "Who says those sur counts were done by Daler, they were done by Pundit ji..and basically the decisions were made by pundit ji, Daler was just annoucing them :)"
