Chapter 1
Zoya sat down with a picture in her hands and hugged it tightly. Asad walked down the stairs towards her.
"Kya hua Mrs.Khan?" He smiled she looked up at him.
"It's almost been 20 years." Zoya leaned on his shoulder. "If that incident would not have happened Sanam and Seher would have been together." Asad hugged Zoya tightly.
"I miss her too. I will never forget that day ever." His eyes watered up.
"Ammi, Abu." A voice called from the kitchen. Zoya wiped her eyes and stood up as she saw her daughter approach her. Sanam was dressed in a simple blue salwar suit with her hair in a bun and her dupatta tied near her waist. "Try this." She said with a huge smile displaying the tray to her parents. Asad took a bite from the curry she made.
"My daughter has to be the best cook." He smiled.
"Of course she is skilled like me." Zoya hugged her daughter as Asad smiled.
Delhi
Sunheri flipped her hair as she walked down the road while fanning herself from the heat.
"Bappa it is so hot and on top of that I have not gotten money today." She thought to herself. She rolled her eyes and sighed. She saw a man in the distance coming out of the store with his hands full. An idea popped into her head to help the man and at the same time grab his wallet. She combed her hair back with her fingers and approached the man.
"Bhai saab careful." Sunheri called out as she tripped him enough to catch him and snatch his wallet from is pocket. She hid it behind her back as the man thanked her.
She walked off and smirked. She threw it up into the air to the height of her body but before she could catch it the wallet was snatched. She looked up furious. Sunheri was met with brown eyes with messy black hair but a kind smile which was not enough to melt Sunheri's heart.
"What the hell?" She yelled.
"This isn't yours." The boy smirked waving the wallet in front of her.
"That is..." Sunheri yelled out her lie. The boy chuckled.
"No its not. This belongs to that man." The boy pointed to the man whose wallet was just taken. The man was talking to a officer which made Sunheri panick. "Dont worry its not about you. He is just talking to his friend. But I think you should return it. He does do a lot for our country." The boy smiled and gave the wallet back to her. Sunheri sighed and knew he was right. She walked back to the man.
"Bhai saab you dropped this." Sunheri gave a kind smile.
"Thank you so much. Usually someone would just take it. Thank you." The man was so grateful.
"Its the least I can do for someone who does so much for our country." Sunheri told him.
"It is nice that people care about taxi drivers even on the days they dont work." The man put his wallet away.
"Kya? Tum rickshaw wale ho?" Sunheri was stunned.
"Haan. Anyways thank you." The rickshaw driver continued on his way. Sunheri turned around to see the boy running away.
"Wow Bappa you actually made someone who can fool me. I need to know the name of the person who can fool Sunheri." She blew the hair out of her face as the guy turned to look at her before disappearing into the crowd. "Not bad Bachu you got me but wait till I find you. Just wait and watch." She smirked.
