Khushi entered the cabin, panic had gripped her.

"So Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta," said Arnav, "show me the report!"

Khushi did not know what to say. She was silent.

"Can't you hear? I am talking to you!! Where is the report?"

"Sir, I have completed the report..." said Khushi.

"Then where is it? Ghar par rakh ke aane ke liye nahi kaha tha maine...!!" I had not told you to leave it at home!!

"Sir, actually..." she paused, "actually I have brought the report with me... but..."

"But what?!"

"But Sir... uh... I am unable to find it right now..." said Khushi in a low voice.

"What the...!!!" cried Arnav. "You think I am a fool to believe all this rubbish?!! I had already warned you that I won't tolerate any excuses... Hadn't I?!!"

"Y..yes Sir..." said Khushi in a trembling voice. "Sir I had kept it on the table in M-112 before lunch. Now the file is not there... I searched a lot for it but couldn't..."

"Enough!!!!" interrupted Arnav. "Every time, every time you prove how irresponsible you are...!!"

"Sir, I have prepared the report... Please believe me Sir!" urged Khushi. "Someone among the team (or probably you) must have kept it somewhere..."

"And why would anyone do this?" Arnav questioned.

"How mean!!" thought Khushi.

"And why should I believe you have prepared the report?" asked Arnav.

"Sir I have prepared it!!! You can ask..." Khushi was about to take the name of Aman, but she realised that she was not supposed to tell it. "Err, you can ask the team! They all have seen the report...!"

"Woh toh main poochh hi lunga..." Arnav said, "The question still remains... Where-is-the-Report?!!"

"Sir I told you, it was..."

Just then Roma entered to tell Arnav that peon wanted Arnav's signature on some papers. Arnav told her to send him in.

The peon came in and gave some papers for Arnav to sign on. The peon saw Khushi standing there.

"Arey, Khushi Madam!" he exclaimed, "Achha hua aap yahin pe mil gayi...!!" he said.

The peon handed a file to Khushi, "Is this file yours?"

Khushi took the file in her hand and checked it.

"Yeh toh wohi file hai!!" she exclaimed as she jumped on her place in excitement. "Thank you Devi Maiyya!!"

Arnav stared in anger.

"Thank you so much... Aaj toh aap ne meri jaan bacha li...!!" said Khushi to the peon as Arnav watched her, irritated. You saved me today! "But where did you find the file?" Khushi asked the peon.

"When they were taking away the garbage, I saw this file in it. I felt this was strange. I took the file and cleaned it to see your name written on it. So I thought it would be better to ask you once before throwing it away..."

"Aap ne bohot achha kiya jo file le aaye...!! Thank you!!" said Khushi heartily.

The peon left.

"Sir! Here's the report!!" said Khushi proudly as she handed over the report to Arnav.

Arnav went through the report. He was quite impressed but he didn't show it. He was searching for a reason to scold Khushi, but the report didn't give him one whatsoever.

"Tumhein yeh event time pass lagta hai?!" he scolded. Do you think this even can be taken lightly?

Khushi was confused. "No Sir, in fact this is a very important event for me. This is my first ever live project Sir, it means a lot to me...!!"

"Then what was this file doing in the dust bin?!!!"

"I really don't know Sir... I had kept it on..."

"Do you ever know anything?!!"

"Sir, I have worked hard to complete the report... Raat bhar jaag ke maine yeh report banaya hai, main kyun isay kachre mein phenk doongi...? Why would I throw it away, Sir?!!" she said, frustrated.

Arnav just stared angrily at her. "Whatever!!! You may leave now... aur aagay se main koi laparvahi bardasht nahi karunga... I won't tolerate this henceforth...!!! Do you get it?!!"

Khushi didn't say anything. "Khud sab kuchh kar rahe hain, aur daantte mujhe hain... huh!!" she thought as she left the cabin. He himself is doing everything and then he is scolding me!

"Thank you Devi Maiyya, aaj toh aapne bacha liya!!" Khushi said as she walked to M-112. "But who put the file in the dust bin? Arnav Sir? But he had not even arrived when all this happened... then how could he do it? No... it was someone else...! Arnav Sir must have told someone else to do all this.. But now the team is on my side... Then why is all this still happening? Is someone else doing this? Someone who is not in the team? Someone from outside? Someone not related to this project? Who can Arnav Sir be taking help from?" wondered Khushi. "I need to find out!"

Days were passing by. The team was working hard under Khushi's leadership. Everything was going perfectly according to the plan. Neither did Arnav know of Khushi's plan nor did he know that Khushi knew about his!

The day of the event was approaching, with only a week left. The team was working in the room as usual when Khushi's phone began ringing. It was Roma.

"Hello.."

"Khushi, Arnav Sir wants to see you in his cabin right now!"

"Okay, I will be there..."

The call ended.

Khushi knocked on the door of Arnav's cabin. "Come in..." was the reply.

Khushi walked in. She had decided not to be loose in front of Arnav whatever happens.

"How's everything going?" asked Arnav.

"Great, Sir!" replied Khushi, beaming with confidence.

"So, is the presentation ready?" he smirked.

"Presentation?!!" Khushi was shocked and confused at the same time. "Sorry Sir, but which presentation?"

"The presentation about the event!!! Didn't I tell you about it day before yesterday?"

"No Sir, you didn't!!"

"Ohhh... I must have forgotten to tell you..." he pretended to be sad.

Khushi understood that Arnav was playing with her yet again.

"No problem... I am telling you now... Tomorrow you have to give a presentation about this event explaining how it will be on the final day...!!"

"Tomorrow?!!! But Sir there is not enough time for..."

"Oh stop giving excuses!!" yelled Arnav. "You should have known by now that I hate excuses...!!"

Khushi stared at him. "How can you do this?!!!" she thought in disgust.

"Okay... so tomorrow sharp at 5 pm, you will give a presentation in the auditorium. Be there on time!!" he said in a teasing tone and left the cabin leaving Khushi in a fix.

Khushi was up that night preparing the presentation. She wanted it to be perfect. She did not want to leave anything loose for Arnav to criticize. She had not told anything at home, of all that was going on with her at the office. She didn't want her family to be tensed.

The next day, Khushi went to office all prepared. She had the presentation on a CD as well as a back-up on her pen drive.

Everyone was busy in their work. Khushi was preparing herself for the presentation. Just then Rishab came in and told everyone that the things they had ordered for the event had arrived at the store. Everyone got up to go check whether everything was as ordered. There were only few hours left for the presentation to begin.

"Why don't you all go check the arrivals... I will wait here, I need a bit more preparation..." suggested Khushi.

Others agreed.

"All the best darling," said Avi. "I am sure you will do great!" he said with a wink.

Khushi smiled. She felt good.

"Yeah, all the best Khushi!" others wished her luck.

"Okay Khushi, we will leave now... See you at the auditorium directly!" said Shikha.

Khushi nodded and the others left.

Khushi verified again and again whether she had included every detail. She didn't want to give Arnav any chance this time. After some time, she checked her watch.

Her phone rang. It was Aman.

"Hello Khushi! Prepared for the presentation?"

"Yes Sir, almost!! Just a bit nervous..."

"Ah don't be nervous Khushi... Believe in yourself!! And I know you will do fantastic!!"

"Thank you Sir!"

And the phone got disconnected as Khushi's phone battery died.

Khushi felt encouraged after the call. Aman was such a strong support for Khushi!

Khushi felt confident now. If others believe in me, why shouldn't I?

Suddenly, the power supply to the room was cut off. The lights, the A/C system, the computers everything turned off.

"Yeh achanak kya ho gaya?" thought Khushi as she looked out through the door. Everything seemed fine outside. Only the supply to M-112 was cut off!

"What is happening?" wondered Khushi as she walked to the door to check. She pushed the door, but...

Oh no!! The door wasn't opening!! Khushi pushed it harder but no use... The door was locked from outside!! Khushi tried to shout, but as it was a sound-proof room, her sound wouldn't reach out. She banged on the door, but there was no one around to notice.

The room had no windows. There was no ventilation now...

Khushi tried a lot to open the door but in vain. As hours passed, she began feeling suffocated in the closed room. Her throat went completely dry. She felt very thirsty. She could see the cooler in front of her room but there was no chance she could reach there as the door was locked.

She got hold of her phone to call someone... But then realised that her phone was switched off as her battery had got discharged.

It was 5 pm already. She tried to shout as loud as she could, but that was of no use.

She was breathing hard, gasping for air, slowly losing her consciousness...

She was trapped!!
