I struggled to find a topic title today and after reflecting back on what today's episode meant to me, I decided on 'love - here, there and everywhere.' Dev is looking for answers on what love is all about, Neha reveals she is in love and well Sona has lost it in love already, so there's love talk left right and centre 😆

Starting with the bonnet baatein scene, I have to say, that was the perfect culmination to a wonderful conversation in hindsight 😊 It was 10x better than yesterday because Sona was in her element 😆 I much prefer this bubbly Sona who was celebrating the feeling of being love. This time, both Sona and Dev were having a back and forth conversation which I preferred much more to yesterday's scene because they were sharing thoughts. Dev seeking some help in love 😆 and Sona sharing the nuggets of information from her own experience. I particularly liked it when Dev said 'main kissi aise insaan se advice mangu ga jisne zindagi main ek baar pyar kiya ho, mahine main do baar nahi.' This says everything about the type of person Dev is and that somewhere, he doesn't want the ainvayi time pass sort of love. He wants the real deal. I don't know, what do you guys think? You've got to be the one woman type of person to consider taking advice from someone who has fallen in love once only, no? Kind of reminds me of the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai dialogue 😆 'hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai, shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai, aur pyar ek baar hi hota hai.'

Then the moment where Shaheer as Dev totally steals that bonnet baatein scene was when he takes Sona's hand and places it on his heart Does this guy not understand what he is doing to Sona?! There's this trademark 'heads up' action Shaheer does now that I love😳 The gesturing with his head and eyebrows, asking her whether his heart is saying anything. Mister, if you put your hand on Sona's heart...😆

Back at the Bose abode, Elena bechari was clinging to the bed post in terror 😆 Erica was awesome as Sona, moving from an angry and hilarious outburst to simmering down to a quiet acceptance of her friendship with Dev 😊 I loved this change. Here comes another Kuch Kuch Hota Hai dialogue which I hope both Sona and Dev understand in the future 😆 'Pyar dosti hai...agar woh meri sab se achi dost nahin ban sakti, toh main usse kabhie pyar kar hi nahi sakta...kyun ki dosti bina toh pyar hota hi nahin...simple, pyar dosti hai.'

And then we find a relaxed Dev the next morning, perhaps feeling less burdened having spoken to Sona, as he cracked a joke about offering a different fragrance to the murtis 😆. Amazing what Sona can do for him!

But then, kaboom! Drama as Mami makes a massive accusation based on her small soch 🤢 It's so easy for one person to unsettle the peace in a house and cause disruption. That is Mami. It's ironic how she was belittling Ranveer based on his status etc but quite frankly she was exposing her own shortcomings as a person. For me, Dev really stood out in this scene as the bomb fell that Neha was in love with Ranveer. The worry, apprehension, shock and slight anger were all visible on Dev's face. Such a myriad of emotions on display as a brother. Top class by Shaheer. I especially liked it when despite hearing such shocking news, Dev managed to compose himself when on the brink of questioning Neha/Ranveer. He instead apologies to Ranveer, not once but twice. Wonderful acting by Shaheer and another reason to make the viewer fall in love with Dev's goodness.

I am glad that Mami's actions inadvertently revealed that Ranveer proposed to Neha and she is in fact, in love with him too. Not only does the story progress, but Dev gets to see first hand, that his own sister is in love too. A feeling he is trying to understand is presented to him through his sister. Timely I say. Can I just bow down to Supriyaji for the acting she did in the last few minutes? 👏Her elation was such a delight to see. I felt like Ishwari was speaking to Dev as well about the implications of marriage. I am glad he was there to take it in.

All in all, another lovely episode by the team. The precap

Idk why. But I was precisely thinking of the dialogue from KKHH. About ek baar jeete Hain, ek baar marte Hain wala...
Beautiful!

Great analysis dear...Sona' s situation did remind of Kuch Kuch hota hai...but the sad song - tujhe yaad na meri aayi.
Irony of KKHH was tht even though SRK used to quote this famous dialogue repeatedly - "ek baar jeete hain, pyar karte hain", it was him who fell in love twice in the movie.

When he places Sona's hand on his heart, he doesn't even consider that Sona might feel awkward with it. He has done it before also (yellow saree scene, dance scene, phone return ) , only when she gives a hint, then he realizes it and leave her hand. Such a clueless guy 😆

Mami's scene was really over the top today, trying to snatch Ranvir's watch and Dixit family not apologizing properly to Ranvir. Dev said sorry later but he should have instead stopped Mami from insulting Ranvir. Neha did a bang on job to shutup Mami, wish Dev would do similar for Sona. But I am just glad that for once Mami didn't blame Sona for the watch theft, she now has another gareeb bakra.

Yeah you are right this drama today will bring the much needed pace to the show.

Ishwari ..I still can't understand her..She is happy to see Neha in love and wants to get married, but for Dev her feelings are totally opposite. Though she told Dev to take the decision on his own, but clearly she wants him to say NO. She is sad to think that Dev is taking so much time to reject the proposal.

Eagerly waiting for the precap.

I loved your post, especially the KKHH references, very relevant.

For a guy who claims not to know anything about love, Dev is uncannily certain about the kind of love he wants advice on. 😉 I mean if you don't know anything about love, why should you perceive any difference between two-per-month or once in a lifetime kinds? Deep down, Mr. Dev Dixit isn't as innocent and clueless as he lets on.

It was good to see Mami finally do some good, even if it was with the worst intentions. My heart goes out to Mamaji, though. He is such a sensitive and self-respecting man, unfortunately bound to a materialistic, immatue woman for life. I would love to see his opinion on Dev's marriage, actually; it would be interesting if he was the one to warn Dev about the wrong and right reasons for getting married.
