A few rushed moments today?-May 25 episode

Sona's outburst today was more gibberish and childish tantrum. There was a total disconnect between the two scenes that followed one another. She seemed more mature and practical in the former, and cut to the next shot, you see her shrieking and screeching about what transpired between the two and how she feels unfortunate about being in that situation. No... That was totally different from what I gathered yesterday, about the moments they shared and what she said. Didn't she sound and even say in some of the previous episodes that like it is fine to cherish your feeling even when you know if it's one-sided, and that it is absolutely divine to wait and understand when you are in love and so on?

I personally did not like that scene. It was hurried a bit and not thought out well and the execution was poor.

The next thing that I felt a little cheated in the Neha's confession scene as well. I too love Neha's character and was waiting for something extraordinary when the moment came. But her expressions fell short I thought. I mean Ishwari and Dave tried to fill in the gap in their scene together. The exchange between son and mom was outstanding. I don't want to elaborate on that in this paragraph because that is a beautiful scene in which Supriyaji gave a mindblowing performance. Dev complemented her well in that scene.

I actually thought it was very naturally done. Sonakshi IS restrained in front of Dev...her real frustration at not being able to show her feelings, or at Dev not understanding, comes out only in the comfort of home. That, to me , is a very well established part of her character...she doesn't just blurt out, unless she is angry. And remember, she is in love with the guy...so she will want to help him. But she is also a normal girl in love - so the feelings will pour out sometimes 😆
On the Neha confession - I loved the fact that it was so naturally done, no major melodrama, no flashes...very, very, normal.

And THAT's what I like about this show - it is so natural, like it could be happening in the house next door !! And not some melodramatic multi camera TV land !!😆

I didn't enjoy today episode
Nothing happened in Devakshi's life yes they are friends they talked , she opened about love but actually I was feeling bored I was only thinking about the next coming episode like how Dev will react when he will see Sona boyfriend and all ...
The episode was focused on Neha that's great she deserves it but her confession confused me I thought she didn't want to get married because of Ranveer's situation it was really weird ..
I think she should talk to him and tell him what are her fears. It was too fast for her !

The only thing I'm excited about: The precap ! Dev called Sona and wanted to meet her .. I feel like cvs are here spying us actually I read an Os about Devakshi meeting at night

I really like how you put your opinion about the same. It is true that this show is very natural in every sense and that every ordinary person can connect with it. Especially the female lead. She is today's middle-class young woman, bold, fierce, independant, modern, caring, outgoing yet with the underlying middle-class fame values and beliefs.

I just love the character and Erica is doing an amazing job. In fact, I came to watch the show when I chanced upon her in one of the episodes where she was packing her stuff and walking out of office with dignity intact. That day I decided that I have to watch her from episode one. I did and I fell in love with her more and more. Of course I also discovered another great actor Shaheer. I have not watched any of their work before. But they are outstanding. Having said all these, I do feel bad sometimes when things don't work well, for me may be. But I just voice it, so that I know how other feel about it. Sometimes your perceptions change when you view things through someone else's vision. I like what you said and want to believe it too. But to me, Sona is such a wonderful character that sometimes, things look out of place - not the fault of the character or the actor but may be due to hasty writing and execution. Erica anyways delivers the best way possible but the outburst looked more self-centered to me which in normal situation is absolutely human but in this situation, before that scene we had an altogether heart-warming scene which pulled our hearts to her and her views about the relationship that she was weaving. So was a bit disappointed :-( But I was aware that I would be the odd one out here :-)

Actually not, you are not the odd one out...I saw a few other posts which were unhappy😊 but different views is what a forum is all about ! I totally respect your pov...I also have a feeling that maybe the editing had a lot to do with it too...made it rushed?

Beware- the following might be lengthy 😆

Sona- I think it's more of a transition between two scenes that was poor. I mean when she was with Dev, she was extremely at peace and just all drooling over love. There was no internal conflict that was shown when she yapping away at how lovely love is. And then directly we see her as being frustrated and helpless because she is a friend rather than something more. Her outburst is justified because she rather vent her frustration to someone she knows (btw the way Elena jumped back up to sit on the bar, killed me 😆). Dev is a clueless child and he doesn't know her feelings for her (may I add that a heart is indeed an organ well done Dev), so it wouldn't have made a lot of sense if she was a frustrated with him. Actually now that I say that, it would have been better if they showed some kind of internal struggle on her face when she is facing away from Dev and advising him about love. The next scene would have not been so out of the blue if they had started to drop hints in prior. Does that make sense? Idk? Not her character, more like the flow between the two scenes was flawed.
Also her outburst was pretty amusing, almost like it's infatuation and not love. I mean I throw tantrums like that whenever I crush on someone. It was a bit immature and hypocritical, just like you pointed out

Neha- Man what a disappointment. One does not change over night, just yesterday she was going on about how he lives with so many people under the one roof and how she is not ready blah blah blah. And now she wants to marry him? Like no, stop. Neha is still not content with herself and if you aren't content with yourself, you can't make someone else happy. I so wanted Neha's character to dance and make peace with her past, somewhat mend her relationship with her mother, see the world and then maybe Ranbir. Not sure how I feel about this wasted opportunity :(

That's all for today! See you for another rant tomorrow 😆

P: you worded my discomfort about those two scenes in a better way. I liked it so much. That was exactly my feelings. Bad days do happen.. I am full of expectations for the upcoming tracks. The team is full of professionals with top notch talents and am sure they would tweak these little imperfections with no trace of them in the future. Sona is a natural. I just loved her in the Neha-Ranbir scene and how she was trying to come to the rescue of Ranbir.

Neha's confession was a disappointment for me. They could have shown some building up to this scene in the previous episodes. Suddenly defending him she said that she love him? Seriously? Neha's character has so much gravity in it , didn't like how the cvs dealt with her yesterday. It was a rushed confession for me loosing its charm. Coming to Sonakshi I found her very natural in both the scenes. She listened to dev with a heavy heart trying to help him out. She did not express her inner pain in front of him as for her understanding his problem was her main concern. In her room she wanted to pour out her frustration and anger. I can very well relate to it as something similar happened to me.

well i dont think neha could have mended her relation with her mom coz i see no effort from ishwari. the problem is that ishwari has never recognised her contribution. she is always dev did this dev did everything. never realises that even neha had a huge contribution in this. yes she understands tht neha had to face a lot in childhood and wants her to be happy which every mother would BUT the main thing is she has never made any effort to heal her wounds and make her happy
but yes even i found the confession rushed.
