There is not a single daily soap without a mom. A strong maternal figure is a must-have in every Indian serial. This is holding true since the times of the first Indian daily, Hum Log. On the occasion of Mother's Day, we had conducted a poll on who is the best mother figure on TV. We were not surprised to see Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi's Ishwari, actress Supriya Pilgaonkar, Chakravartin Ashok Samrat's Pallavi Subhash and Swaragini's Sonica Handa being the most favourite ones. The poll was a see-saw battle between these three. After all, all these ladies have done justice to their characters, which range from caring to idealistic and caustic.

Supriya Pilgaonkar was leading the poll in the first few days and understandably so. The lady has built a fabulous bond with co-star Shaheer Sheikh and their chemistry is the best thing about the show. Ishwari is caring but possessive of her son, whom she has raised into a business tycoon after a life full of hardships.
