'Chak De India (2007)' was said to be inspired from the real life incidents of Mir Ranjan Negi, but it has many similarities with 2004 Hollywood movie Miracle. Many scenes, characters and dialogues were actually inspired or taken from Gavin O'Connor's film. Similarities between Chak De India & Miracle
- If "Chak De! India" is based on the life of "Negi", then "Miracle" was based on US hockey coach Herb Brooks.
- In "Chak De! India" its girls hockey team brought together form different states of India. The girls are those talented ones who have lost hope of making it in the game.And in "Miracle" its the boys Ice hockey team wherein the boys are College going talented youngsters who are called from different colleges of various universities of U.S.A.
- In both the movies the Coach is somehow blamed and could not see the Major Cup Win when he was playing and is now considered a looser.
- The first scene where the Shahrukh meets the Selectors in their office for his selection as a Coach is quite similar to the same scene in "Miracle".
- The most astonishing is the "motivational sequence" where Shahrukh insists the girls to say that they are playing for India and not for their own states. This is also there in "Miracle" where Kurt Russell punishes his team till the boys say "I play for the United States of America." Quite Amusing.
Both films have players fighting with each other on state & status differences.
- The main player in both the movies is the Goal Keeper, and in both the screenplays he/she has some problems at home in his/her personal life.
Although "Chak De India!" is a well made, entertaining and motivational movie, but the disappointment arises when the credits are given for the elements which are borrowed and inspired from the English Flicks.

- Indian Superhero movie " Krrish (2006) " plot was the uncredited adaptation of Hollywood film " Paycheck (2003) " & Poster was borrowed from "Daredevil (2003)".Even the background moon was copied. It has also been noted that Ben Affleck was the star in both these Hollywood flicks.
- Although it was the sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) , the whole story was heavily inspired from Paycheck (2003). Also this movie has its background 'theme' score borrowed heavily from the Havana composition of KennyG.

While Hrithik, following Naseerudin Shah's chopper, suddenly sees a kid on the road and a huge truck running towards him. The way, our Indian hero saves the kid has an uncanny resemblance to the way Spiderman did it

Bollywood film Black (2005) directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starred by Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan. Black revolves around a blind and deaf girl, and her relationship with her teacher who himself later develops Alzheimer's disease. The film draws inspiration from Helen Keller's life and struggle ' Miracle Worker(1962)'.
