Mohammed Nazim has quit Saath Nibhaana Saathiya saying that he does not want to play a grandfather

The actor says he is not cool with the idea of being a grandpa

It seems like ageing woes are plaguing the entire cast of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. ActorMohammad Nazim who became a household name with the role of Ahem Modi has quit the show. In an interview to a leading daily he said that he was not comfortable playing grandfather. He said he was not happy to be grandpa to actors only few years younger to him. He already plays a father to grown-up daughters Meera (Tanya Sharma) and Vidya (Sonam Lamba). The show is set to take a leap and many actors don't want to grow any older.

Moreover, Nazim is also busy with his Punjabi film, Big Daddy and the shooting is slated to happen in Australia. The actor has conveyed his decision to the production house and his exit is being planned. He will be killed on the show and his body will go missing in true soap opera style. The actor said he was proud to be a part of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya for six years and wished them the best.

Actor Vishal Singh has also reportedly planned to leave the show. He is known as Jigar, Ahem's younger brother. The actor also does not want to be part of a leap and apparently feel stagnated as his character has no scope for growth. Devoleena Bhattacharjee has also expressed her reservations at playing the role of a grandmother.

That is obvious. No one wants to play grandfather's role at a very young age. The CV's could have given a better story line to this. I will quit if the CV's kill. Ahem's character. I don't mind if they kill Chirag or Parag as they don't have much role to play.
