Thanks Janaki. Actually an appreciation from you means a lot to me. Though we have many different views on many things, an appreciation coming from a person like you who knows Indian mythology to great extend, dont know feeling happy.

That's so sweet of you, Shruti. I do read all your posts, and some I agree with, some I don't, but you yourself are quite knowledgeable and I like how you look at everything symbolically. Such a mindset will take you far in life. 👍🏼

Lovely analysis di
Lakshmi always resides in Vishnu 's heart but as u said he doesn't go behind wealth, hence let's her sit at his feet..
More than Physical position, the deeper meaning behind it matters... Sad that nowadays people misinterpret this.

As Savita di said Brahma Vishnu Shiva express different qualities or attributes and Saraswati, Lakshmi nd Parvati are expressions of those attributes... In different situations we need to manifest these attributes from either of the three Gods.. Their way of sitting also varries accordingly..

@aditi Indian mythology stresses a lot on knowledge and knowledge is obtained only with humility. We need guidance to get knowledge. It starts from mother, her thoughts going to the unborn baby, then it connects to the physical world through father, then understands the larger universe through a teacher and finally the essence of God is understood.
Now the knowledge is steeped in rituals. That has become our biggest bane.
