Aha, you imps! You are all starting to regroup and begin drooling already, are you? 😉 Take care you don't all go into a meltdown with all this cumulative hot, hotter, hottest!😉😉
Well, these photos are not clear and also somewhat distorted in the proportions, but I have a few tentative comments.
One, the costume and the head gear look era appropriate. That is how the Mauryan era turbans were shown in the painstakingly authentic 1990 Chanakya.
Two, Rajat's face looks taut and strong boned, with the jawline far more prominent than with Jalal. This is going to be a harder look overall. Of course no moustache. But he looks younger than as Jalal, so they will probably start him as Chandragupta at 18.
Three, there is already a sword in evidence, and we can expect far more of actual sword fighting than we got in Jodha Akbar. I am really looking forward to that.
Four and the last, as they are beginning with publicising Rajat's look, it seems certain that unlike the case with Ashoka and Maharana Pratap, the junior Chandragupta will not get a whole year of screen time! They will keep it short, which will be a relief. Inagine waiting another year for our boy to show up!
Well, it is good to know that the show is not a mirage! Now, fingers crossed for that Manoj Kolhatkar, the Mahamatya in Ashoka, not to end up as Chanakya here. He will be a disaster.
