They know this deal is really important for Dev, and she is finding her place in his life only through this reason. Pretty much manipulative!!!
She tells her dad to look into dev's business and then her dad also no less, use the dinner invite as a reason to put his point emphasizing the fact it was Natasha who wanted me to merge with Dev... (This is the only reason he said.. to Dev... in business u need to be impatient and patient...) - this is the patient part...
