Should women have the right to keep a pregnancy secret?

A woman who became pregnant after a one-night stand has been given the right to keep the birth a secret from the father.

The Court of Appeal ruling came after a county court ordered the 20-year-old to tell both her parents and the father.

The three appeal judges agreed "the ultimate veto" over who is told about the birth lay with the mother.
Fathers' groups said the ruling treated the child as the property of the mother "to be disposed of as she sees fit".

Do you back the court ruling? Are you a father? What are your views on this story? Do you have a personal experience to share?

I am surprised how can one make such a statement..... first of all child is not a property.... its a human being..... second is "tobe disposed of as she sees fit" is too harsh for a human being..... third is whom to tell and when to tell about pregnancy is not governed by law😕

Having a one night stand and worried about having fathered a baby is like closing the barn door after the horses have left.

i think she must inform the father (if and when known 😉),
however, must also have the right to choose whether to keep it / abort it.

What are your views on this story?
the story is terrible, yet very common and is a sad consequence of growing urges due to early sexual exposure 🤢

Are you a father?
if I can be a father, I'll be in world news 😉.. hehe, no, not a father- yet 😛... 😆

Do you have a personal experience to share?
Due to endless thanks to my folks, my career ambition & GOD almighty, no, I don't have any such personal experience.

right, but he needs to stand up and take up the responsibility if the mother retains the baby.. and for this, he must be informed, so that he can get his ACT together 😉

No, she does not have the right to hide this bit of information from the father UNLESS the father is a psychotic serial killer of infants and her child's life would be in danger if he knew.
