Keerti makes a mysterious entry

If replacements and new entries are common in daily soaps, so are accidents and plastic surgeries. While plastic surgeries are generally meant for introducing a new actor in place of the old one who may have quit the show, Keerti Gaikwad's entry in Solhah Singaar as Shagun sounds quite mysterious.

Akangsha Rawat who was playing the character so far will meet with an accident and Keerti will be introduced in the show in a hospital scene. Apparently Shagun will be given a makeover through plastic surgery and Keerti will be the new face of Shagun. But the catch is that Akangsha is very much part of Solhah Singaar.

So why is Shagun being given a new face? "I really can't reveal the story because it's going to go through lots of twists and turns. But yes, I am playing Shagun in Solhah Singaar and there is a mystery behind my entry in the show. The character is very exciting," says Keerti.

In fact, Keerti took a break from acting after her show Sindoor Tere Naam Ka wound up four months ago. "I had refused a few shows because I didn't want to work and was enjoying my break. But when I was approached to play Shagun I could not refuse because the character is very interesting."

Another reason for doing Solhah Singaar is that it is the same production company which had produced Sindoor. "I had great time doing Sindoor, which remains my favourite show till date. I was part of it from day one till the end. It is one reason why I couldn't say no to the producer," she says. But what's the mystery behind Keerti's entry in the show?

While Keerti refused to divulge any detail, Akangsha says the story of Solhah Singaar is going through a major change. "I am Shagun and I will remain Shagun of Solhah Singaar. But the mystery behind Keerti's entry as Shagun will be revealed in the next four episodes. I will be a part of the Chaturvedi family but why Keerti appears as Shagun will be very interesting to watch," says Akangsha
