Did Gaurav had some physical attraction towards Aryan in Fan? I know with how things are in India they would not openly acknowledge it but it gave me the vibes that he was physically attracted towards Aryan. This is no secret since in movies like Mast and many others and even in real life fans sometimes do develop physical attraction and infatuation when they are obsessed over somebody.

Physical attraction doesnot always has to be homosexual in nature. It can also be perceived in idealisation. Also, throughout his stance, Gaurav always insisted that he needed just 5 minutes from Aryan, nothing more

Underlined homosexual attraction is always showed in people who are intimidated by the other person. Gaurav was always very proud that he looked like Aryan, he was happy in his own place and wanted return in one form - acknowledgement, which Aryan refused, so according to me, the psychoanalysis, does not reveal a homosexual attraction but a ego clash.

Also, i believe Gaurav considered himself equal to Aryan, and when he was snubbed by Aryan, he wanted to get back at him by showing him his place that he is the one who made him, so Gaurav did always idealize Aryan, but somewhere deep down he considered himself the reason Aryan is so big, he credited himself for Aryan's success.

Well the 5 minutes which Guarav asked from Aryan stand for one feeling - acknowledgement. Although Gaurav was an ordinary person but he perceived himself to be the pillar of Aryan's stardom, so he wanted acknowledgment, esp after he harasses that new actor in apologising to Aryan.

He explains his 5 minutes, a hug, a hello, a selfie, that is what he wanted .. as for other people, well ofc 5 minutes can stand for anything, but in the movie they stood for acknowledgement, IMO.

I think no,Gaurav just idolized Aryan and somehow thought the way Aryan matters a lot to him he also matters a lo to him.He thought he is something different than the other fans,he is the junior version of Aryan himself thus shares a personal bonding with him.He was attracted to and loved that girl Neha,thus he was so riled up when Aryan was proposing Neha.Aryan to him is a madness, someone he wants to be like,someone who has affected him alot since childhood, someone in whose identity he wants to mold himself. It's a very complex kind of fanaticism ,tyou will find many such fans in twitter and fb,the khans have many such crazy fans,and they are not physically attracted they all are straight boys who would often call their stars as bhai or guru or something.They just feel that star is one of their close ons, they care about them like how we care about family and friends.They do'nt understand that these stars are distant strangers they do'nt even know properly.It gets disturbing many times
