After so longgg... Something pulled me here. Thanks to my friends who kept asking to catch last few episodes and face-off of Ishra... I don't know if there is some life left but few bits definitely made me nostalgic. For the love of old yhm, here goes my post...
I want to dissect this post into three parts... The first deals with Ishita and her trauma that cv's are trying hard to portray, second part deals with my all time favourite character Raman and finally Ishra... Kindly bear with the length of the topic... And this is based on the recent drunk face-off between leads...
Ishita... A character which could have been chiseled beautifully has been time and again butchered to get that sympathy which cv's can never gain from yhm audience. While her tears provide good melodrama, it fails to move me as a viewer. To an extent, I can understand Ishita's stand till she met Raman. But when saw her man who had been completely broken and couldn't manage to utter a word beyond her name, was it to difficult to infer Raman's emotions which were palpable. Cv's failed here hightime. Raman has spit venom on her at many occasions in his anger but pain of the father in Raman which made him speak incorrigle nonsense still stings Ishita to the extent she is ready to give pain to everyone but not face her Raman. I can't understand what are they trying to prove here... Could have better even if Ishita was talli. Her sensible nonsense is making me go awry.
Here comes the hero... Raman Bhalla... The man of substance. This man was always an amazing brain child of an writer. This man never she'd all his layers at any point of yhm. The RKB whom I saw in these episodes is even more powerful than his version 1.0. While RKB in initial episodes was a tough man due to the deceit that he faced from one woman, this man has broken down so badly because of the deceit that his life gave him... Here, his life was his love, his Ishita... His stumbling marriage was the first step... With that, one by one, all of his relations stumbled and he is just a lonely man now... He is so badly broken that he doesn't even have the will or strength to pick up the shattered pieces. Once again, he wants his jhansi ki rani to do that for him while he knows that is impossible. In simple words, he wants to reach the place where his jhansi ki rani reached... He has no expectations from life... While Ruhi's untimely death created a hurricane inside him, the guilt of killing Ishita and the deceit of being left all alone is ripping his soul. My heart went out to his mumbling in his ebriated state... Unlike Shagun's pyaar which is China ka maal, Raman has been and will always be Ishita ka Raman... Hats off to kp for the amazing show...
Finally, here comes Ishra which made me nostalgic. While cv's drew comparison using tht awards night fb, there was more to it... Once strangers cum soulmates are once again at the mercy of destiny... As strangers... Like their first meeting, before Raman could see her fully, the lights went off... He could just feel his love and not see it due to the lack of lights and his lack of senses. Similar to the awards function night where he fell in her arms because of Shagun n Ashok, he fell into her arms because of losing his brother to save his ego. Like the other day, she cuddled him into her arms and he was the same man who refused to give in. He was afraid... Yet again... Of becoming vulnerable. Like always, his Ishita listened to his mutters but he didn't know it... Like the other day when he drunk after seeing Ishita and Mani's hug... His Ishita leaned onto him and saw his pain transpiring through his tears like the other day when Ishita asked god to give his share of pain also to her. Sadly, this Ishita wasn't sensible enough to stand by his side and was pre occupied by her notion... But, it was all the yhm we loved... Ishra va Ishra... Throwing aside all other logic, waiting for these strangers to embark their journey into becoming soulmates again...
I know many might not be convinced but the new Mihika is not a worst choice... She is doing a good job... Liked her... And Adi is an amazing character... Hope they don't I still much of Ishima's character into him... Thanks for bearing with me...
