Kalki Koechlin was GROPED at National Film Awards ceremony?

National Film Awards here is seen as an equivalent to Oscars. There is immense faith shown in the way artistes are chosen for the prestigious award. Hence, every actor and actress worth their salt pine for that acclaim because it consolidates your stand of being an actor'. But this year the ceremony was mired with serious controversies with the kind of people selected for the awards in various categories. Everyone felt it was too inclined towards Bollywood. As if that wasn't enough, now we hear it also became the spot where a very heinous activity was conducted. Kalki Koechlin was at the receiving end here.

According to an entertainment website, Kalki who picked the Special Jury award for her powerful performance in Margarita With A Straw, was groped while leaving Vigyan Bhavan, where the event took place. The website reports that the actress was leaving the premises and was escorted by security guards. Then all of a sudden, the guards decided to leave her stranded and provide security to Amitabh Bachchan instead. Kalki was thus badly mobbed and during this someone touched her inappropriately. She somehow saved herself by rushing inside. She contemplated filing a Police complaint but later dropped it. However, she did give an earful to the organisers about the incident.

It is really shameful that a prestigious event like National Film Awards ceremony where the bests are rewarded, couldn't even afford good security guards for their winners. Utterly shameful!
