I've read an interview of Amir in a newspaper n thought to share wid u.

Reluctant dance star

Life couldn't be better for actor Aamir Ali. After being lauded for his serious act in Sahara One's Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki produced by the Barjatyas, Aamir and real-life partner Sanjeeda Sheikh have been going from strength to strength on Nach Baliye 3. So much so that Jodi No. 7 has slowly but surely emerged as a favourite to take home the title.

On being approached for Nach Baliye…

I have never been comfortable with dancing. I was a complete non-dancer before Nach Baliye. When I was offered the show, I had second, third, even fourth thoughts about it. I couldn't believe that I was being approached for a dance contest.

On changing his mind and taking up the show…

The primary reason why I took up Nach Baliye was to get over my fear of dancing and give it a shot. Having a super dancer like Sanjeeda as a partner has helped me tremendously. On stage, she covers up for me all the time!

The initial steps…

We started off slowly in the beginning, but have gained confidence with each round. Our choreographer understands what our strengths and weaknesses are and works accordingly. Besides, what has worked for us is that we try and do something different every time.

On the competition…

We just shot for the wild-card round and I think Karan Grover (who, along with partner Kavita Kaushik was earlier ousted from the show) was brilliant. And Rakhi and Abhishek are of course very good dancers.

On Nach Baliye being mired in controversy…

Controversies are a part of life and Sanjeeda and I have learnt not to get worked up about all this. We are here to have fun and that is what we have been doing on Nach Baliye.

On life beyond Nach Baliye…

I am playing the lead in Kya Dill Mein Hai, a Balaji Telefilms serial for channel 9x.

Thanx 4 sharing. Aamir & Sanjeeda are definately the most decent down to earth couple on the show. Alex and Sweta are the second decent couple(but they've been ousted)
